Australia - Shey Webber, 35, found badly injured in her Warranwood home

I was watching TV tonight - an old Domestic Blitz - and Lauren Huxley's family were the recipients of the home do-over.

Lauren was brutally attacked years ago, left with significant brain injuries, coma, life support, family told to say their goodbyes .... and I thought of Shey.

Lauren came through ... months and months and years later, she still has various therapy sessions, and life has changed for her - but she looks really good, is physically active, and enjoys her life.

This is my wish for Shey. :praying:

Warranwood investigation ends

Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives have completed their painstaking investigation into the Shey Webber case.

Ms Webber was found unconscious in her Warranwood home on Wednesday 6 November 2013.

Following a thorough forensic investigation, police are now treating the incident as a tragic accident.

However, if any further information comes to light, detectives will assess this.

Ms Webber remains in hospital where she is recovering from her injuries.

Hate to hear she is still in the hospital. praying she recovers.

I don't get the line that goes, "However, if any further information comes to light, detectives will assess this."

What do you guys make of that?

Channel 7 sunrise this morning said police believe it was an terrible accident in her home. The nurse came out of an induced coma in December but still remains in hospital.

Are they lulling someone into a false sense of security or is it truly some terrible accident? How could it be mistaken? These guys are professionals yeah? They do this day in, day out!
Did the injuries appear worse because she'd been there for days? But then between then and now they'd have worked this out earlier, surely?
So terribly confusing!

It was back in December that forensic experts said they thought Shey suffered a bad fall.

I think that police just kept going with the investigation to make as sure as they could that there was no involvement of anyone else, seeing that Shey was unable to tell them anything about the incident after she awoke from her coma.

Shey's sister Tamika Webber has written on her facebook page an update on Shey. Please go to Tamika Webber Facebook for an update.

Thanx Marg, it's interesting the sister still says an intruder who did this and hasn't been caught. Am I wrong that it was eventually reported as an accident in her home?
