Definitely, Oona and Pi, thank you and the Crikey article author for such clarity.
Where is the Women's Shelter number or 000? As well, how does one leave an hypothetically enraged husband, a station, with ones kids, without endangering oneself and the kids?
It's a fraught situation and in this case, one which is now so tragic.

Thinking about the last CCTV sighting of Tanja at 3.20 pm at the Museum and why they would be at Roseworthy approx 4.5 hours later and traveling over 300klms so late at night.
I think Michael was gambling their money, the casino is just down the street from the museum.
So Michael claims Tanja left the car at Roseworthy with nothing but a large amount of cash..truth hidden in lies. Yes, they had the cash however he gambled it at the casino.
On the way out of Adelaide they started fighting...I believe that to be true because Tanja was fed up with the lies about money disappearing..was she not the bookkeeper?
She was onto him and his deceptive ways, a fight ensued enroute to the property. I think Michael could not handle the confrontation and thumped her. He drove home and disposed of her. Googling will show that the home farm is in the vicinity of old gold mines and caves so no doubt MB was aware of many out of way places to dispose of a body.
I sincerely hope that Tanjas body can be found for the sake of her family particularly her precious sons who loved her so much.
    MOO

oooooo Pi.... The Roseworthy narrative has niggled me for days now, and thanks to Kelynn #151 I know a bit more... The crucial thing being.. there is CCTV of Michael at the service station there, he buys 4 drinks.. 2 milks , 2 other....but the windows are tinted , no vision of the kids or Tanja..... . now..

Any woman knows that she would go to the Ladies there.. its an hour , at least out of Adelaide, depending on traffic, its highly likely the 3 yr old would need to go... but she would , too.. from there it's about 3.5 hours, maybe 4 , and I don't think the Barrier Highway has many of those solar panel rest rooms, like the Hume Freeway, etc.. I think it's still a bit rough and ready , my last trip down it was last century ( 1999).... it was a case of make do.

So ... I think it isn't impossible that she was dead before Roseworthy, .. could be buried anywhere within 6 klms of the bitumen for 365 klms. his vehicle would do offroad with no problem. . .

The gambling.. that is a powerful driving motivation, for sure..

I think the possibility of MB gambling is the best motivation we have come up with for the sudden death of Tanja. MB claimed Tanja got out of the car with a large sum of money, which nobody believes, but the possibility that he gambled the money (and lost it) is the best explanation yet. MB probably has a problem with gambling, and Tanja had no idea until recently. Problem gamblers usually hide the problem until they cannot hide it any longer (all the money is gone).
Gambling has the same underlying basis as domestic violence, and a whole lot of other behavior problems. (We all know the underlying cause).

Police released a statement on Wednesday saying detectives had returned to Mannahill in a bid to piece together what happened to Ms Ebert.

An ambulance crew is on standby.

“Due to the risks posed by the ruggedness and remoteness of the terrain, a SAAS Special Operations Team crew is on standby,” the statement read.

I think its taken them time to plan for this next search MsAnais.

    http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/...d/news-story/ef384a979ea844f0967917df74fb2f20

Major Crime detectives have spent the past week researching and planning further searches of the extensive rural property, in consultation with the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources and mining specialists.

They have identified 20 wells and mines as well as other areas of interest on the remote sheep station.

Detectives will be assisted in their searches by STAR Group officers and search coordinators, Port Pirie CIB detectives, officers from State Tactical Response Group, mining experts and specialist camera equipment.

The searches are expected to continue for two to three days.

    Ah, thank you for that.

I'd just assumed they'd given up as it was too vast an area.

Please may they find her, so that her family can at least have some closure :please:

'Major Crime detectives have been back at the pastoral property this week and said Environment Department and mining specialists helped them identify 20 wells and mines plus other areas of interest on the remote property, north-east of Adelaide.'

I wish I knew what indicates to the detectives that Tanja arrived back at the property.......there must be a reason for that belief. Considering Burdon was adamant that she exited the journey at Roseworthy, there must be some compelling evidence that she did travel in the car all the way back from Adelaide to Oulnina Park.......

Probably just the fact that her passport, purse/handbag containing her cosmetics etc, and her mobile phone. I think they concluded that these are things a woman always carries with her.

Maybe their three year old child told investigators something that indicated Tanja had returned home with the family. It is hard to imagine how Michael would explain their mother's absence to the little boys. [emoji22]
