Deceased/Not Found Australia - Tiffany Taylor, 16, pregnant, Brisbane, Qld, 12 July 2015 *guilty*

Tiffany Taylor's accused murderer planned to leave the state, court hears

A man accused of murdering pregnant teenager Tiffany Taylor had packed his bags and was planning to leave the state the day before a police interview about her disappearance, a Queensland court has heard.

Rodney Wayne Williams, 65, pleaded not guilty to her murder on the first day of his Supreme Court trial in Brisbane.

The Crown argued Mr Williams met Ms Taylor through an online social networking site.

Prosecutor Philip McCarthy told the court Mr Williams picked up Ms Taylor in his car from her hotel room for a "sexual liaison" on July 12, 2015.

The court heard Ms Taylor was pregnant at the time.

It’s back in the Brisbane Supreme Court today , Williams defence are pointing the finger at the boyfriend/ pimp Greg Hill , he’s denying the unborn child was his and his evidence he had no idea she was a prostitute has been proven lies with 300 text messages between him and Tiffany in regards to her prostitution.

From article:

Williams will be eligible for parole after serving 30 years in jail.

During his sentencing, the Supreme Court in Brisbane heard Williams had previously been convicted of the murder of an elderly woman in Tasmania in 1978. He was sentenced to life in prison for that crime.

The court heard he had punched his elderly neighbour, then stabbed her in the back during a robbery.

Williams was also convicted for the indecent assault of a girl in 1994.
