Do they impound cars and suspend licenses on the spot in Qld for certain driving offences like they do here? If so, maybe his car is impounded for the high speed pursuit and has no license?

He was granted bail but was back in custody on July 27 when he led New South Wales police on a high speed pursuit after attending this year’s Splendour in the Grass music festival.

Police allege Mr Tostee was spotted driving a grey vehicle with no numberplates and reaching speeds of 200km/hour on the Pacific Motorway south of the border.

Police deployed road spikes on the northbound lanes of the M1 just prior to the Tugun Tunnel, but it is alleged Mr Tostee continued to drive on the rims at about 140km/hour.

His appearance will also include a mention for the drink driving and breach of bail condition charges he received on July 27

oopsie I forgot the phones were found in a car ....

Audio recordings, said to have been extracted by police technical experts from mobile phones found in a car in the building’s basement, were believed to be the lead detectives were looking for to arrest Tostee on Friday.

I agree with Whatson re his money not being made from drugs. He's just not that savvy or network-y imo.

I suspect it's more like he is supported by his long-suffering family.

I wondered that too Amee.

And that is just the most outrageous behaviour on his behalf as a 28 year old "man"......I live near where Splendour was held - that motorway is busy - it's the one that leads from NSW to QLD - and the Tugun tunnel where they spiked his tyres is near the Coolangatta airport......there's always some traffic around. He could seriously have injured/killed lots of people.

He makes me sick.

So here's what you get Immediate suspension for in QLD:

Immediate suspension

Your Queensland (or non-Queensland) driver licence will be immediately suspended (FS4853) until the charge is dealt with by a court, if you have:
been charged with driving with a middle-level breath/blood alcohol concentration (0.10 or higher)
failed to provide police with a specimen of breath or blood when requested
been charged with a low level drink driving offence while an earlier such charge is still pending
been charged with driving under the influence or with the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance.
If you drive a motor vehicle in Queensland while your driver licence is suspended, due to any of the above reasons, you will be charged with unlicensed driving.

If you are convicted of unlicensed driving, the court must disqualify you from holding a driver licence for 2 to 5 years. You may also receive a fine of up to $4,400 or be imprisoned for up to 1 year.

And it is all chicks, chicks, chicks, chicks ... and how he looks. I don't think I have ever encountered someone so shallow in all my born days.

And that applies to a bunch of those people on that BB site.

No depth to the personality at all. Very bland, very boring, very ..... nothing. Empty vessel. Dangerously empty vessel.

More Tostee insight:

I normally black out at around 3/4 of a 700ml bottle of 37.5% vodka. Someones I do stupid **** sometimes I don't, sometimes I even pick up a girl without remembering and "wake up" while I'm in the middle of fcking her.

Black outs are actually one of the reasons I installed security cameras in my apartment.

Dumbest thing you've done while drunk?

-Drove up the wrong side of a major road past a cop car while blacked out. Lost my license for 18 months.
-Last night walked into these girls apartment who I met in the lift, even got one of them to come back to my apartment then passed out in front of her (glad I didn't do anything she was a 4/10 I was getting desperate).
-Muttered jibberish countless times to people when I've been way too drunk.
-Rang people up, forgot who I was speaking to, kept repeating myself.
-Told a girl we should get married, didn't remember, was blacked out.
-Passed out naked under a glass table in front of everyone.
-Stripped naked in front of a chick to try and get with her (don't remember this).

I think I would find trainspotters more interesting than them, easily.

Guys I've edited numerous posts on previous pages.

Although we're allowing discussions on the comments, we're not allowing copy and paste or copied photos from there so please leave that out of your posts.

Add a post# or page#, include the link and all will be well.

I just read some of the thread where he finds some beetles. I don't know why but it made me sad. I think he isnt an empty vessel. I just don't know what he is.

I read that last night (as you do on a Saturday night) ... and it left me feeling very sad too.
Things could have been very different for GT. IMO.

I wonder if this was the app he was using as CCTV.

DailyRoads Voyager is a free application for Android-powered mobile devices, allowing for continuous video recording from vehicles. Essentially, the application acts as a video black box, dashcam or auto DVR, recording everything, but only keeping what the user is really interested in. The user is usually the driver of a car, who can now quickly and safely capture video sequences of important road events.
