How can you trust these institutions to the fullest, when sometimes it turns out, they employed pedos?
I certainly understand your comments FromGermany1.

Thats what I meant when I referenced the huge Responsibility that must accompany the actions & decisions of these Agencies & their employees.

A child’s safety & wholesome development must never be relegated to a ‘money making venture’, nor to those dubious characters who manage to schmooze their way in; and neither should it lie in the hands of a frustrated /overworked /under-resourced/ burnt-out / hands tied etc etc Officer.

(It’s not only in Australia, it’s across the Globe, that unfortunately Governments seem to have lost sight of the fact that ‘people matter’ and thats where focus needs to start )

for William and the team piecing together this puzzle.

I can't help but thinking some of the paedophiles discussed (again) recently would have been well and truly placed under the microscope by Police early on and cleared.

FA,TJ and PB would be ranked 2,3 and 4 on my POI's after the FP's.

Outside of this I can't seriously consider an 80+ year old man flying in like Superman, snatching William, putting him in a car and driving off without being seen or heard by anyone.

I sincerely hope that this is the "quiet before the storm".

Not much noise lately - I hope this is a good thing.
I agree. IMO, the possible involvement of the many pedophiles in the area was suggested pretty early on & was investigated quite thoroughly - all except FA were publicly exposed as part of the investigation & their questioning. TJ family members were reported on.
I don’t believe this a random ‘pedo’ attack and as you say, I can’t see an 80 year old man having the speed, agility & precision that would’ve been required to execute the shrouded abduction that we’re led to believe happened to William that morning.

All just MOO.

To think of DN as just a nice white-haired grandfather in a frilly blouse, because of his age already beyond good and evil, wouldn't be appropriate either. IMO ;)

I know quite a few 80 year old men who are still pretty fit and agile.

I do too - but imo there’s quite a different level required in the circumstances for William’s abduction.

Child abductions do not need any required level of fitness. We have posted videos here of experimental child abductions where many children simply walked off with the abductor 'to see their puppy' - in as brief as a 90 second time frame from first meeting the stranger. Parents/carers close by.

And the abductors are brazen. Cherish Perrywinkle was abducted and murdered when she happily skipped away with her abductor (and murderer) to go to Maccas, with her mother's permission. How brazen is that? Walk away with someone's child and never return.

Why would anyone on Benaroon Drive not notice that? Because they were at work/school/elsewhere, or at their homes which are set back from the road. They had no idea that they 'should' have been watching the street that morning to prevent or witness an abduction.

imo

"Of the nine children he approached, seven co-operated and within a space of 90 seconds walked from the playground with him.
All the children had been warned by their parents about "stranger danger" and none had previously met the man."
Gone in 90 seconds - how long it takes to abduct a child

This video does show children can be fooled but I don't think this is similar to the William Tyrrell situation.

The "pretend abductor" is in a public playground with many people around including parents. The child would feel relatively protected in this environment plus he does not grab/snatch any of the children and try to put them in a car etc. This is where the child would put up a big fight and cry or scream IMO, once they realised they were in danger.

It is a "sensational" headline IMO that does not really match what happens in the video.

Perhaps the video should be titled "How to persuade someone to help look for your dog in 90 seconds?

Until the FP's are cleared, I have seen enough suspicious behaviour to keep focusing on them.

Likewise, William would have felt safe in his grandmother's garden with his family close by. It perhaps gave him (and the examples of rapid child abduction) a false sense of security. Thinking subconciously that 'this must be okay, mum is just over there'.

As has been pointed out many times, a car(s) does not have to have been involved in the initial stage of William's disappearance. And if one was, it doesn't have to have been on Benaroon Drive. Especially if the abductor was there to scope out petty theft.

imo

Another little boy named Sam Trott went missing from his WA home in Dec 2014, a few months after William. Sam was close in age at 2.5 years and went missing at 10.30am. We might have discussed Sam's case in early threads.

A tradesman working at the family home left the front door open and unfortunately Sam left the house unnoticed. His mother realised very quickly, within minutes. Sadly there was a tragic ending when Sam was found the next day, he had drowned in a local lake

Sam was found approx 400 metres from his home, he had wandered past houses, he’d crossed roads and nobody noticed him.
Police threw a lot into the search on the day and the community assisted. Dogs were used in the search, and I’m going off memory here so IMO, I don’t believe the dogs lead the police to where Sam was eventually found.

It’s still on my list of possibilities that William wandered away from FGM home and was picked up by somebody some distance away.

Ex-Tyrrell suspect charged by police

And now he has breached his bail and is going to remain behind bars!!!

I totally disagree, most children picked up by a stranger do not scream, cry or fight, I can’t believe anyone still believes this to be true.
Sadly, child care givers who believe this, will at one time, be awakened by a rude shock that their child didn’t scream or cry or fight while being abducted, while being molested in the next room, while confronted by costume performers/Santa Claus they cried about as a baby, they froze on the spot. They may cry later but not on initial contact, giving the abductor enough time to bundle them up in their arms and walk off or into a vehicle, or hold their hand and stroll off like they weren’t strangers if seen by a passerby.
How many cctv images of children and adults being escorted by their killer does one have to see to understand human beings? These killers were strangers to them, they’ve walked them into forests, behind stores, into cars …….. :(

That’s my number one and two theories too, he’s wondered a fair distance and fallen into a hole and hasn’t been found yet or he was noticed and picked up by somebody along the way. JMO

And unfortunately Sam's parents were subjected to some nasty rumors.

Yes, and parents are advised to TEACH their children to yell if someone tries to lead them away - because child victims are known to freeze up.

"Following are tips to aid in the prevention of child abduction:

Yell, Kick, & Scream - Many children freeze when they are grabbed by strangers. Kidnappers want children to go along quietly. Teach children to scream and yell, "This person is not my mommy or daddy" and kick the kidnapper in the foot, groin, or knee ...... "

Yep.

I'm surprised he was bailed on the conditions he was , which was to reside with at " the home of a music group acquaintance Ensi Payne", report in each Monday & to the same area ( Laurieton / West Haven ) where he allegedly offended, only to breech his "strict" conditions & wander to the area where he offended just 7 days later

“It was not envisioned he would be walking around the lake, in the general vicinity of where he met the victim,” she said. “I was assured you would comply with such a bail condition.

“I’m not prepared to take any further chances.”

I'm glad his bail has been revoked, he really has nothing to lose & would be very likely to re-offend, despite his age! IMO

In case it's pay-walled for some, here is the nub of story:

A former neighbour of William Tyrrell’s foster grandmother — who was questioned by police and had his house searched over the boy’s disappearance before being ruled out as a suspect — is behind bars after breaching strict bail conditions over the alleged aggravated sexual touching of a 25-year-old autistic man.

After pleading not guilty to the charges, Derek Nichols, 88, was granted strict bail which required him to report to Laurieton Police Station on Mondays, live at an address in West Haven’s Seltin Glen, and not to leave the home unless in the company of Ensi Payne or reporting to police.

Mr Nichols was granted bail on August 8, however, the court heard the elderly man had breached bail conditions when police found he had left the home registered as his current address as part of the bail application on August 13.

...

Bail was revoked and formally refused, with Mr Nichols is expected to reappear on August 24 in relation to the charges and a new Apprehended Domestic Violence Order application.
