I hope I am not wrong....but I take the police/media silence to be a positive thing. If the police were truly "baffled" as reported then one would assume they would be putting out as much information and flooding the media for help to get William's little face out there in the public.....this is not the case...as we are witnessing an almost total "media" blackout on William being missing. Also...even though we can't discuss FB pages - no pages to discuss....FB pages have been removed of specific people related to William...this can not happen overnight...(usually FB takes 28 days to remove pages)...but obviously with police involvement it can be done much sooner...and has...so I believe they are on top of the case.

they may have just deactivated the page themselves . They are still open every now and then....

Could something like this have happened to William considering his 'complicated' past?

'A US girl abducted by her mother 12 years ago has been reunited with her father after being found safe and well in Mexico following a joint US-Mexican rescue operation, investigators say.

Sabrina Allen went missing in 2002 at the age of four, and was rescued in the operation on Tuesday in the town of Estafeta Tlaxcala, about 140 kilometres east of Mexico City.

She is now 17 years old. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said her mother evaded arrest for so long by fleeing the country, moving frequently and constantly taking on new identities.

The mother, 44-year-old Dara Marie Llorens, also frequently changed the girl's hair colour, according to media reports.'

Both sets of grandparents for my kids live relatively close by. My kids go to my parents place all the time. They hardly ever go to the inlaws though. My mother in law has every knickknack known to man, and they are all down low where kids can break them. She also has terrible fencing, with dams/roads nearby. Far less stressful to stay at home and have grandparents come to us. I wondered about how "kid friendly" the house might be. If it is not set up for children, that could explain why the children hadn't been there before. Might also explain why the kids were outside- even when they were drawing (in the last photo) they were sitting on a deck outside. The only other things I could think of as to why it was his first visit were 1. Had grandma not long moved in? 2. Did one of the kids get car sick- enough to put off travel?

Good points you brought up. I sometimes forget that other families are not like mine! I can't even comprehend how much his little smiling face is missed by all who knew him. I hope they are receiving therapy for his sister and that they continue it for a long time. Having a sibling disappear has to be nearly the most traumatic thing a child can experience.

But another family member would have to be missing. Wondering why the police are still thinking William is in Kendall? Its all still very weird nothing makes sense, just hope they find the little guy soon.

do they think someone local took him and have disposed of him since the initial search, to be returning with the cadavar dog, wouldnt the dog have picked up a scent the first time? also wondering why they specifically did an evidence based search in the brothers forest, was there something found there, and it was at that time they said william may have been "assisted" into a car. hard to assist a child into a car if they dont know you, i guess if there are lollies or puppies etc not so hard.

thankyou for this, its so interesting, so many things the dogs can do, like detecting tiny traces of blood etc and used for only recently deceased bodies. fascinating they have specialist dogs in this field for different scenarios.

does anyone remember how soon the first cadaver dogs were involved in the search, i know the scent dogs were reported to be there the first day, just wondering when they decided they needed to bring the others in to search.

The police page dating back to 12 Sep re William missing is still there. It's just coz police post so many things, the older history becomes compressed at first glance and only selected pages are seen. If you expand everything for 2014 and click on 'All Stories' rather than just 'Highlights', you will eventually get down to that police page.
