Fri, 5.15pm: The darkness is closing in, but the searchers are not going anywhere.

Police Inspector Mick Aldridge said PolAir has returned to Sydney after extensive aerial searches.

"But we're not leaving - we'll continue all the way through the night," he said.

Inspector Aldridge said police officers, SES volunteers and concerned residents will search the area, which includes state forests, during the night and as morning begins.

I know people keep saying they wouldn't of raided the house if they didn't have more info but is that really true? I said it previously - if I rang crimestoppers and reported that I had heard or seen someone putting something into a septic tank what are the cops gonna do? Sit around having a think about wether or not to follow it up? I think not. A three year old boy has been missing for 4 months now, I think they will pounce on any leads, I wonder if there is a way they can trace the anon tip off and speak to this person because if this is nothing I would love to know why they called it through and what the motive is!

Look at the title of this one .. if you go to the front page of NineMSN it says: Owner of home with underground maze breaks his silence

.. well if that isn't irresponsible journalism I don't know what is! We just do not know what the truth of this situation is yet, maybe he's done something, maybe not, but all those 'maze' stories are bogus, it makes it sound as if H. H. Holmes is living in Bonny Hills! Regardless here's the article with interview: http://www.9news.com.au/national/20...r-implication-in-william-tyrell-disappearance

I don't trust the guy.
I'm looking forward to seeing the full interview.

On FB nine news about 30 mins ago posted the video interview and wrote "William Spedding, the man whose belongings are part of the investigation into missing William Tyrell"

Interesting wording. They seem to be making more of a point that it's not the people who are under suspicion as Fehon mentioned earlier too. Damage control maybe!

Yes, too much is made of the "maze". A previous owner of the house said the structure was "bizarre", and then the media use that quote to try and make it seem like Spedding was the creator of this bizarre maze because he's some weirdo, but really the previous owner just meant something quite innocent. The media in this country... honestly, grr.

It has been reported that he has been interviewed twice previously. I dont think they would follow through with a huge raid, if they didnt have more than a Crimestoppers call.

Also, 2 previous interviews have been mentioned - it would be negligent of the LE to not check Phone records, Bank statements, CCTV etc before raiding..
Despite what his good friend Colin is saying about the police not knowing about the coffee (ummmm  )

There is definitely shaking of branches happening. Is it directed at BS? or someone close to him??..
I think BS is smelly (imo) I dont like the look of him at all. (and neither do the police obviously)

It's pretty hard to get a read on him from that interview hey?

I rent and I have crawl space under my house secured via a trap door on the side of the house. You can't stand up in there. this is common but people aren't reading the articles properly and all of a sudden something quite common of australian houses becomes some sadistic dungeon this guy has built to stash three year old kids in!

Yeah I know right???? My grandpa had similar crawlspaces under his place, it was built in the 20's but we used to be able to get right under most of the house through them and we used to scare the bejeezus out of each other by daring ourselves to go in deeper and deeper, from what I remember each new room had a small opening you could crawl through .. IT'S NOT LIKE IT WAS A FREAKING DUNGEON!!! Although .. that would have been kinda cool .. anyway even a couple of years ago we went in as full adults and scared each other again all over :D

He then went to the Buzz Cafe for a coffee with his wife in Laurieton before he went to an awards ceremony for his grandson at a primary school across the road, Colin said.

Cafe staff say detectives have visited the eatery twice in the past few days as they attempt to verify Mr Spedding's movements.

Colin said he had downloaded a copy of Mr Spedding's bank card statement which showed a purchase at the cafe about 10am on September 12.

If he has been interviewed previously surely the police know about the coffee it would of been one of the first things they asked him? Maybe Colin doesn't know his facts

Mr Spedding, 63, was one of hundreds of locals questioned by officers, coming to their attention only because of his contact with the family over the repair.

As they checked out everyone’s statements about where they were on that Friday, detectives allegedly found some inconsistencies in what Mr Spedding told them which led them to raid his former pawnbroking office in Laurieton and his home at Bonny Hills this week.

Hmmm thanks for this. Interesting indeed. So what sparked the raid, the inconsistencies or the crimestoppers tip off!
