Hi everyone,

First time poster. I've spent a few hours reading through the old threads but there's a lot to cover, so please forgive my ignorance if I bring things up that have already been raised.

First up, is there anyone on here that is actually from the area? I've seen a few posts saying "I think this is in Australia" and "is Camden Haven a long way to go for a washing machine repair man?" I'm from a nearby town, and have spent a lot of time in Kendall. It's gorgeous, and no, it's not a long way to have someone come from Camden Haven. It's not a long way to have someone come from Taree if its really necessary. It's a very rural area, and as everyone has noted, there is forest on every side.

The thing is, it's so close to the Pacific Highway, that if he were abducted, they could have taken him anywhere very quickly.

Has anyone considered the train? There was an XPT train heading north that left Kendall at 12.41pm that day. Has there been any investigation into train station security that anyone knows of?

bbm: no one has raised that as far as I remember -- thanks for raising that possibility!

Welcome to WS!

We're not allowed to speculate about anyone in the family.

September 20

Fehon says while the initial focus was on finding “young William” in the bush, a team of investigators had looked at other possibilities “from day one”. Detectives were on the scene that afternoon. The “errand” William’s father was on has been investigated. He was where he said he was. The phone on which the last photograph of William was taken has been analysed — the photo was taken “within an hour” of his disappearance. There is no evidence of any family dispute.

William’s wider family has been thoroughly investigated and interviewed, too. Their alibis have been declared sound — they were hundreds of kilometres away when William disappeared. Very few people knew the family had left Sydney to visit the area

January 24

Detectives have investigated and interviewed William’s wider family and checked his father was where he said he was. All have been cleared.

EVERY one of the 21 *houses in the exclusive estate around his grandmother’s house have been searched from top to bottom twice, including roof cavities and septic tanks.

Mrs Wilson said she heard the two children playing in the neighbouring yard before she left to run errands in the township about 90 minutes before William disappeared, just metre’s from her home.

2nd attempt to respond -- keep getting bounced

thanks for your link

several things have jumped out for me

30 minutes elapsed not 10 as previously thought ((my understanding from previous info)) when LE contacted as per neighbours report in your article

2 km away was the store for the errand ((not a big distance))

father advised WT was missing when he arrived back home as per neighbor (previously I was under impression WT's mom called him and then called LE)

thanks for posting this article -- has helped me rethink a few things....

oh I missed the bit about the "father advised WT was missing when he arrived back home" are you sure its in this link?

The times in this article are pretty close :

They couldn’t find him. They became frantic. William’s father was called on a mobile phone. He raced home to help. Within 10-15 minutes, neighbours on the street were searching as well. They couldn’t find him. “Twenty to 25 minutes” after he was first noticed missing, the police were called. They *arrived within six minutes. A “full search” was initiated.

On another note, police said gerard baden clay was a poi but not a suspect before all went quiet until his arrest

if all these neighbours were home at 10.30 surely one of them must have seen a vehicle arriving or leaving the street?
maybe someone did and reported it to crimestoppers?

When you read the caption boxes 3 and 4 under the diagram -- it shows half hour time lapse....kind of surprised me too

Chloe Campbell 3yrs was taken from her parents window during the night. All eyes were directed to the unsavoury looking parents and their friends. (Complicated is an understatement).

I doubt the police would have found the little girl because she was taken and hidden in secluded farm miles away.
Chloe was returned outside her home late at night right under police noses and floodlights.

The problem was a complete stranger decided to take Chloe because his reason was to look after her, she was bathed, her fluffy toy was washed and God only know what else happened to the little girl.
Chloe was reunited with her parents, unlike William Tyrell.

Pedophiles can always justify their actions and reasons.

I'm in two minds-
1) A person known to William.
2) A total stranger.

When I first heard about this case, what jumped out at me was the fact that someone had taken a picture of him on there phone, just moments before he went missing.
Seems a bit odd and deliberate if you ask me.
I mean, nothing really special about the occasion was there.

I'm trying to find the link about the neighbour mowing the lawn at the time.
