The Deputy State Coroner told the court “I understand that’s difficult and painful, but that’s when it’s going to be. It’s unfortunate”.

She told the court while the inquest is finishing, the police investigation is ongoing and “if people know anything in the community, please come forward, the investigation is not over”.

This is ridiculous, surely William’s famly and the public of Australia deserve an explanation for this farce of an inquest, why FA was given all these privileges.Does this mean any prisoner who maybe a poi in a case, can demand the same thing?

William’s foster parents are addressing the court. They’ve played a heartbreaking recording from his sister. She says she wants to be a detective when she grows up, so she can find her brother. “I won’t give up until he’s found” she said.

His sister said “in my mind, no one is trying. I hope this speech makes you solve the case”. She went on to say “not a day goes past when we don’t think about him... The day he disappeared, we lost everything”.

His foster parents described him as “a jovial and boisterous little boy... happy go lucky, and had the cutest walk and little swagger... he always made us smile... his giggles were infectious”.

William’s foster parents are telling the court of the abuse and stalking they’ve suffered from strangers “inserting themselves into the case”. They told the court some of these people have recently photographed his sister while at school, and published photos online.

They told the court it has been “challenging and somewhat distressing” to learn the resources on the strike force have been significantly reduced.

The finished by telling the court William’s sister tells people she wants to be a detective so she can find her brother, they said “it should not be her mantle to pick this up. We will never, ever give up on William”.

A lawyer for William’s biological father is now residing a statement to the court on behalf of his biological family. “It’s difficult to put into words how much William’s disappearance has impacted our lives,” she told the court.

The statement said “William’s father lost William twice... imagine having your son taken away, only to find out you’ll never be able to bring him home”. Adding “William’s father will never be the same. Life will never be the same again.”

In closing, Deputy State Coroner Harriett Grahame told the court “please accept my assurance these proceedings have been conducted out of deep respect for him, the little boy missing. I take the task before me very seriously... and remain committed to finding out the truth”.

    !

I thought that after all the delays, especially the COVID months, the report would be all but finalized by the time hearings wound up.
