Is it just me or is WS keeping a very cool, calm and collected front regarding LE? In this article he says “they’re only doing their job”.

IIRC he said something similar in another article back when he was hot topic...

He's right in saying that they are just doing their job but if he is innocent and LE have done all of this to him, you would think he'd probably be a bit 'distasteful' of them.
Maybe that is just me, I highly respect LE but if I had just been dragged through the mud and publicly humiliated, I wouldn't be so laid back - if that makes sense?

Im not sure there is a right or wrong way to behave in a situation like this. I guess we wouldnt know how we would behave personally unless put in those shoes. Its my opinion that no matter how a POI acts, it will be scrutanized and disected by all onlookers anyway. I believe its a case of damned if you do or damned if you dont. People have more or less made up their minds about him by now anyway.

POLICE have gathered a number of objects in the search for William Tyrell in dense bushland on the Mid North Coast of NSW today.

Police completed the first section of bush this afternoon to the west of the Long Point Trail.

They are currently scouring a patch to the east of the dirt track in a strict line stretching roughly 50m end to end.

Senior police reiterated that it is impossible to tell at this stage which, if any, of the objects found could be clues or evidence.

At least ten police vehicles are parked in the vicinity of Houston Mitchell Drive and Long Point Road at Bonny Hills, close to where the three-year-old vanished more than five months ago.

Chief Inspector Colin Green stressed the area, which stretches around three kilometres back

through dense bushland to Lake Cathie, is not yet a crime scene but a search zone.

Up to 30 specially trained officers are stationed at a makeshift search headquarters awaiting instructions from senior homicide detectives.

More than 30 officers will descend on the area this morning, including the Public Order Riot Squad, the Operational Support Group, police from the north region and the dog squad including a cadaver dog.

A few Google Earth images showing the search area near the intersection of Houston Mitchell Drive and Long Point Drive. It looks like there is a property nestled into the bush close by but there is also a lot of dense bush in that area. I'm wondering if the residents of that property may have seen something and tipped off the police. A more sinister thought is that William was taken to that property.

SPECIALIST forensic officers have arrived to examine a number of objects that have been found in the search for William Tyrell in dense bushland on the Mid North Coast of NSW today.

The officer in charge of the investigation, Detective Inspector Gary Jubelin, arrived at the search site a short time ago and is being briefed by detectives on scene.

Minutes after Det Insp Jubelin’s arrival two forensics services vehicles arrived from Forster.

The Daily Telegraph understands the forensics officers were called in to examine possible evidence unearthed in the last hour.

I know this area. It was where the wild dog ran out at my car that I posted about a while ago. Very close to WS - a shortcut to the Bonny Hills area. There is a small winery out there. Not much else. Some private properties and lots of state forest.
re the title, the media is doing a dodgy job (as usual).

Homicide commander Superintendent Michael Willing said at a press conference in Parramatta on Monday that the tip-off had nothing to do with the location of a body.

Channel 7 news have just reported breaking news that bones have been found in the search area, but are not ruling out animal bones.... I hope they are animal...

Sorry to the animal lovers but I pray thats an animal :(

7 News have also confirmed bones are being examined. I don't want it to be William. :(

Does anyone have a map to show us where the Speddings home is if it is in the vicinity of the search area.

Oh no sorry to read this. It might be a while before we find out if it is William though I wonder how quick dna testing is in Australia. Thanks for all your posts and updates everyone they are much appreciated.

Chances are that they are animal bones.

Also from the link I posted above, with regard to BS:

"At the very highest he is a person of interest but he is not the only person of interest," Superintendent Willing said.

But he is the only one whose name, photos and details the police let the media splash all over the place.
