Fri, 5.15pm: The darkness is closing in, but the searchers are not going anywhere.

Police Inspector Mick Aldridge said PolAir has returned to Sydney after extensive aerial searches.

"But we're not leaving - we'll continue all the way through the night," he said.

Inspector Aldridge said police officers, SES volunteers and concerned residents will search the area, which includes state forests, during the night and as morning begins.

I wonder why WS name has been released but they aren't releasing any of the other POI's?

Maybe WS has given LE their information but those people don't know it yet which is why LE are doing all of these searches so it's like "SURPRISE! Gotcha!"

So what happens after today, back to drawing board and keeping the pressure up on BS and associates hoping he cracks?

I guess they'd like to be able to do it without the contingent of media present, but I don't suppose that will happen. As soon as they get a 'sniff' of a story they will descend.

    It was The Haven.

Also going back to Speddo's Rental World (post by panda) in the last thread, it is definitely his. In one of the photos he is sitting outside a caravan or something and the van behind him has the business name clearly visible.

Ian Stewart from 1st Choice Rentals is the new owner of Speddo's in Percy Street and he has been in Wellington to check out his new purchase.

Mr Speddo will have connections with the town but is moving to Laurieton on the North Coast.

"I am going to be with my wife and family to help out there. I will be working there as well but be in Wellington from time to time,'' he said

I wonder if any of the vehicles taken for testing had Sat Nav in them and if the history of those systems can be checked to show where the vehicle has travelled?

Sorry guys back to the washing machine repair on or close to the 19th September 2014.

Why was the van there parked in the street. This seems to be around day 5 of the search.

We now know that abduction was being considered within 24 hours.

Sex crimes and homicide already involved.

Did BS just turn up to fix the washing machine?
Did BS call in the days leading up to see if they wanted him to come and fix the machine?
Did he receive a call to come and fix the washing machine from a family member?
Were LE in someway involved in that repair taking place on the given day?
    imo

Another poster posed this question a couple of pages back: "could WS be working with LE?". That's something I've been thinking for a while, what if he's taking all this heat voluntarily to help find someone else. Is that a possibility or just too far fetched? I know it's a lot to take on but its one hell of a guilt trip. "Go along with this so we can find a 3 year old boy, we'll vindicate you on the end I promise."

The thing that keeps bugging me is wondering if BS is involved, to ANY degree, wouldn't it be wayyy to obvious to be due to be at the house on the very day WT went missing?! Was he actually scheduled to be there on the 12th?

Yes, I have to agree. The only reason I'm looking at him is because of the obvious police presence. One would hope they knew something we didn't, to warrant all the attention. If we don't focus on Spedding, who else is there, other than the totally opportunistic angle, which is just as unlikely. This is certainly baffling, to say the least.
