Az - Dr Steven Pitt Shot Dead Outside His Office

From some articles- they say Jones and Simmons played tennis
four or 5 years ago at an area park. Early article said Jones was
a tennis instructor.
I heard a LE investigator say on TV recently that most murders
are commited for one of three reasons-
- Drugs
- Sex
- Money
But considering that Jones was paranoid, narcissistic and anti-social and held long time grudges, the motive here could be
something Simmons said to him or about him to others that
offended him. Remember the psych report said he required
'excessive admiration'. Maybe Simmons was a better tennis
player and continually beat him and it rubbed salt into his huge psychic wounds and embarrassed him in front of others. ??

But I can't imagine what a 70 yr. old woman or her blind husband
could have done to him to justify killing them. ???

Nothing justifies what he did to any of his victims. You’re right. It could’ve been over something small, but to him it would be a big deal since he’s a narcissist.

reported this morning that he (Jones) has asked Simmons for money not too long ago and she declined his ask. (Sorry if this was already posted - I am super busy and have not read all the posts I missed since yesterday!)

AHA! That was one of my unspoken questions - if he'd tried to borrow money from them. Was he an addict and needed a fix?
Or was he an alcoholic and needed his booz?
Didn't his ex-wife say that at one time he was seeing a counselor
and was on medication?
Supposedly he was spending every afternoon at strip joints when
he was married to Dr. Jones- seedy lifestyle could include addiction.
Now, we're getting closer to a motive here for the oldsters.

Investigators found that Simmons and Jones had lunch about a month prior to the killings. Slavin said at that lunch, Jones had asked to borrow money from Simmons but she said no.
"I don't know if that speaks to the motive here or not. I don't think we'll ever really know," Slavin said.

May all the family and loved ones of these victims somehow find peace in the weeks and months to come. I think the extremely vengeful nature of what happened in this case is what really strikes me. Too many lives cut short. May they rest in peace.

Thanks for the link SeesSeas, Wow, he was one sick dude. Thought enough of his 'friend' to have a social lunch with her but
then can turn around and kill her AND her husband. It's hard
to even try and understand his warped way of thinking.

I wonder if he robbed them of some money/cash stash. If he did, he didn't have time to spend much.

Ex- Wife endured 9 years of hiding and running from his threats.
She was supporting him w/ $6,000 mo. alimony until 2017.
He believe she was his property and had no right to divorce him.
Scarey the way she had to live. They had 3 safe houses, kept different rental cars, guard dogs in the house, she learned to use
a gun and even shopped at different grocery stores each week.

I was going to post this earlier. Just helps illustrate what an absolutely horrible, evil person this was. I'm glad
that she is speaking out about her ordeal.

I am just amazed that the courts thought this man should be around his son. Smdh
