MESA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - The Mesa Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding two boys who have been missing since Wednesday night. Police say they may be runaways.

They are still missing according to the MPD. I am worried about these 2 boys, as they have been missing for 10 days.

Yes, it is very concerning at this point. Eastmark subdivision in Mesa is basically the far east suburbs of Phoenix metro. It is a good sized subdivision but basically open desert around it. Thought they would have been found quickly. Plus it has been over 100 degrees every day here since they went missing.

Very little information out there from Law Enforcement and local media on this case. Given their ages, I would’ve expected to see much more detail from police by now on the circumstances.

i.e. where could they conceivably be running to; what supposedly are they running from; what search activities are being undertaken and where are efforts being concentrated; what has LE discovered in the 10 days they’ve been gone; what is the home situation/what has the parents got to say, etc. etc.

Media coverage to date seems to be just a bland and lazy repeat of the police’s missing persons alert.

Absolutely nothing from Mesa PD or any media since May 1. Very odd for two young children. They've updated other missing as found since so it seems to be they're still missing.

Odd isn’t it. After seeing multi agency LE activity and saturation media coverage in OH for (what all signs pointed to was) an independent 18yo woman fleeing a suffocating home life (IMO) to almost no coverage in AZ for a 12yo and a 14yo. What a crazy world this is.

Mesa PD’s original FB post is full of comment requests for updates. It appears someone called the PD last Sunday and was told they were still missing.

The Mesa PD’s original FB thread comments provided some interesting info that is now deleted despite being very reputable. Absolutely nothing of late and nothing in the MSM. Granted neither are 18 year old cheerleaders.

On 5/27 the Mesa PD put out an update on FB these boys are still missing. Nothing else in the MSM unfortunately. They believe they are still in the area...

I can't believe these young men haven't been located yet. Why no updates from MesaPD?
