According to a statement released Thursday, Jamie Lynnette Yazzie, 31, was last seen on the evening of June 30 in the area of Pinon, which is located about 125 miles (~201.17 km) northeast of Flagstaff. FBI officials are requesting any possible information regarding Yazzie's whereabouts, in addition to circumstances of her disappearance.

Yazzie is described by FBI officials as a Native American woman, 5'5" tall and weighing 230 lbs. She was described as a nursing assistant. Anyone with information on Yazzie's whereabouts should contact the FBI's Phoenix Office at (623) 466-1999.

Help Find Missing - Jamie Yazzie
  • Jamie didn't show up for work, which is uncommon for her.
  • Her employer reported her missing.
  • Jamie was last seen as a passenger in a vehicle driven by her boyfriend.
  • Her boyfriend was found hiding in a housing addition and has since been arrested. (It is not clear what he was arrested for.)
  • Jamie has scars above her eye and burn scars on her forehead.
  • She wears glasses and contact lenses.
  • Jamie has both ears pierced and wears a ring with a blue stone.

Ugh. Boyfriend hiding and then arrested does not bode well.

It looks like she has a stethoscope around her neck in one photo. I wonder if she is a nurse?

It looks like she's wearing a scrub top and a nurse's name badge too, from what I can see. It doesn't sound good about the boyfriend, no. I hope she's found soon and she's ok.

ETA: Her fb says she works at a health center.

Yep, her FB says she works at the Pinon Health Center and according to the Navajo Police (see link below), they received a call on July 5 when a co-worker reported her car had been found less than a mile east of there. Pinon Health Center

Her missing page says was reported missing when she didn't show up for work so I'm wondering if her boyfriend was driving her to work in her vehicle. ? MOO

  • The Navajo Division of Public Safety has been searching for Yazzie since she was reported missing on July 5.
  • Her last known contact was through cellphone communication on June 30.
  • The search area south of Pinon was a 4-day effort with resources from the Department of Emergency Management and community volunteers.
  • Navajo DCI confirmed a criminal investigation is ongoing.

Jamie Yazzie has been MISSING from ARIZONA for FIVE Months!

Jamie Lynnette Yazzie is still missing! She has been missing from Pinon, Arizona since June 30th. She is 31 years old. She stands about 5'4-5'' and is 230 pounds. She has waist length black hair and brown eyes, she wears glasses. She last made contact to her family on the 30th during an altercation with her boyfriend and she has not been heard from since. Her vehicle was found abandoned about a week before she went missing. If you have any information, please contact Navajo Nation PD - Chinle at (928) 674-2000 for case number 05-19-016165.
