Tina and Michael Careccia reported missing; couple's vehicle found near Maricopa

MARICOPA, Ariz. - Authorities are looking for a couple that was reported missing Monday after their abandoned vehicle was found and they didn't show up for work. According to Pinal County Sheriff's Office, Michael and Tina Careccia were reported missing by a family member around 7:15 Monday night.

The pair reportedly left for work from their Maricopa residence around 5 a.m., but never arrived. About three hours after they were reported missing, their 2008 Honda Accord was found near North Ralston and West Papago roads.

We want to clear up some misinformation that is going around on social and traditional media sources.

First, some have noticed a that the Mesa bank robbery suspect from earlier this week bears a resemblance to Tina. We have confirmed that Tina is not the person seen in the surveillance photo of the Mesa bank robbery suspect. We appreciate the community's vigilance in helping find her, but that isn't her.

I just saw on the news that there is a break in the case. I couldn't find a link on their site (kpho channel 5) but I did find something on Twitter from ABC 15 (Phoenix).
The newscaster said they are treating the missing persons case as a criminal investigation (paraphrasing).

I don't have any other links or info yet. This was reported minutes ago.

We have gotten to a point in the investigation where we are confident that foul play is involved in their disappearance.

"Our priority is to locate this missing couple, yet we have evidence that suggests foul play. This is not just a search, but it is also criminal investigation into the couple's disappearance.

I haven't looked up the house in property records, but according to the PI on the case he had 14 occupants to interview. That is definitely a full house if the couple makes 16.

This is 17 minute video interview with the PI. The last time I saw a site put a full raw interview up, it was chiseled down to 3 minutes the next day. Just in case, that's the standard, watch it while you can.

ETA: Now it's a 2 min video already.

Me too. I think it kept repeating the same 3:00 minutes worth of footage.

To answer the question from the previous thread, yes, I would have reported both my parents missing, but I didn't have a step-mother or step-father. Tina has only been married to his dad for a year and he supposedly is very close to his dad. If I were in his situation, I don't have a clue as to what I would have said because I can't relate to his situation.

The evidence that they found could belong to Tina or Mike or maybe someone homeless, they don't know...

My mind likes to rule out logical answers before I go into the more criminal answers--and believe me, my mind is whirling between my own sinister guesses and trying to keep up with this forum. I think part of what is so frustrating for me at least, is the unanswered questions that seem to answerable without jeopardizing an investigation. Questions such as if no one in the home saw them Monday morning, then how was the time they left known (my logic says maybe they woke someone up who rolled over and went back to sleep?); the status of Tina's non-arrival at work; the mysterious meeting(s) 'later in the day' (was it a meeting with a lawyer regarding their financial situation or maybe Micheal's disability? I'm also curious about why the son initially was only reporting Michael as missing; was there an argument between Tina and Michael that lead him to believe they might not be together? The son having the vin and not the license plate number makes sense to me, because at 7 yo, the car was probably paid off and the title was in the house. Was there something more to their mobile home and partially-built house being torched, or was it just a random arsonist? If these have been answered, pardon me. I admit I've skipped about 20 pages so far.

As a last thought: I know r/l is not CSI, but I'm curious what the car revealed about where it had been driven: the dust might point to a geological area.. or heck! maybe even the bugs on the windshield.

He doesn't know if the leads the sheriff dept are good leads or not.
He won't know more until the sheriff tells him more later, whenever that will be.

Someone from the compound could have abandoned the car where they did because they needed to get back into the compound without being noticed and certainly not seen driving the car...jmo

I'm kind of glad to know they have some idea of what's going on. But it seems they could possibly think they may be deceased? :( I wonder what those at the compound are feeling, wondering if anyone is feeling nervous.... JMO.
