The height, circumstances, and timeline match. Nestor's nose also seems to lean to the right, but I can barely tell as the photo is low quality. I think you should submit.
Submitted to the Maricopa medical examiner.

Hopefully he'll eventually be excluded or the NAMUS page will be taken down soon, fingers crossed. :)

Here is the picture enhanced x2 so his features are more clear:

His nose indeed does lean right. Hoping the submission leads to something.

I wonder if there is more clothing?

Do they believe he had crossed the border?

There's no info stating law enforcement believes that. Nestor was last seen with a group only planning to go to the U.S. I think they did, but Nestor died in the desert. There's a frustrating lack of information about Nestor's clothing.

I'm talking about the UID in general

In this picture on his MP page, he might be wearing jeans. Although they could be cargo pants.

Could they be Levy's 501 beige denim?

He is also wearing a canvas belt, however they never mentioned the cross buckle.

Could he have taken this picture right before he went off with the group? He could be wearing the same clothes as our UP when he was found.

That's what I noticed too. Nestor's belt is a canvas type like the JD's. I also notice that Nestor is wearing a necklace bearing Christ on the cross. Hispanic people (at least in my family) wear it for good luck and for God to protect them from any danger. They are religious people. He could have taken that photo right before he went off on his trip. Nestor may have worn the necklace in hopes that God would grant him a safe journey.

However, I don't see any mention of a Christ necklace on the JD. Maybe animals took it because it was shiny?

I don't get that impression.

I certainly wouldn't trek into the desert dressed like that...(I'm a she, but if I were a guy I wouldn't)

But you never know....

From looking at Nestor's NAMUS file, it's hard to pinpoint where he went missing. Sounds like he was last seen in July 2, 2012 Altar, Sonora Mexico about 30 miles from the border.

Obviously, got separated from his group.

My hunch, he was eventually reported missing sometime later by someone in Pima County and that person probably did not report him missing for quite some time (possibly several years, since this is immigration related) NAMUS was created in 2018.

I think he was just showing off his body. Maybe he tried to look intimidating or strong. He could have put on a shirt afterwards and then left.

If he is our UP, then his shirt may have blown off naturally.

(EDIT: This is probably unlikely to happen.)

It's also possible he had/put his shirt over his shoulder while he was with the group.

I agree with this. The group was planning and possibly carrying out the trip in July. July in Gila Bend is insanely hot with an average temperature of 109 F.

i really wish they had included a picture of UP's jeans, but they may have been damaged in some way that prevented them from being recognizable

I wish they took a photo of the belt too. By the way, how did you find cases like these? I also saw you on the Dateland John Doe thread.
