The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) POSTMORTEM AT LINK WARNING! Slightly graphic.
I’m not able to find a thread for this guy but if there is I appreciate y’all merging the threads.
On February 19, 2006, a male was struck by a train while he was sleeping on the tracks.
The deceased is described as a Hispanic male in his late teens or early twenties. The male had black hair and brown eyes. He stood 6’0” (183 cm) and weighed 127 pounds (58 kg).
The male’s left arm was contracted at the elbow due to a large scar running from his upper arm down to his mid forearm. He had a tattoo on his right arm that read “Lulana”.
He had some rectangular scars on his right thigh and some scars on the front and side of the left side of his chest.
The male was wearing a blue button down shirt with a black and yellow design across the chest, brand “No Boundaries” size XXL.
He was wearing dark blue denim pants, brand “Nautica” size 34x34. He had on a purple nylon jacket with a green and blue striped interior, brand “Gear for Sports”, size M. He had on size M blue plaid boxer shorts, brand “Credos Men”, a beige baseball cap with a blue rim and “METCON” on the front, and a tan belt with a “J” on the buckle.
The male had on white Reebok sneakers with black stripes in a size 12. On the right shoe in blue ink was the name “Jose David”. He wore white socks with a gray ankle and USA written on the ankle.
He had on a multicolored cloth woven bracelet.
Reading his description of how he died makes me think he was probably a homeless man or a transient. I feel like he wrote his own name on the shoe, probably in hopes of in case anything happens to him he can be identified. Sadly, 17 years after he died he still remains nameless and is only known by the name John Doe. Also, he was 6 feet tall and 127 pounds. Poor guy must’ve been starving! Perhaps he was a recent arrival to the US. Maybe “Lulana” was a girlfriend or a female friend or family member. Clearly whoever Lulana was, she meant a lot to this guy.
This is so sad.
