Please accept my sincere condolences in the disappearance of beautiful Fariba. I am very disturbed at the circumstances surrounding this and would like to help the family in any way to get some answers as to what may have happened.

Can you tell me, if you know, if either Fariba or her boyfriend smoked? I ask this because the majority of the ship is non smoking with the exception of the Lido (open air) deck and the casino it appears. Even the rooms are apparently non smoking. Could they have been spending a lot of time on the open air deck for one or both of them to have a cigarette?

And with that in mind, wouldn't other people be up there for the same reason? Unless it was long after everyone was in bed for the night considering they had an early disembarkment the next day.

Thank you all soo much for your kind words. Fariba did not smoke and it seems that Ramiz Golshani did. I have no idea how busy the ship was on the dock. I wish this damn cruise had cameras on the docks and then all ours questions would be answered. The hardest thing is not knowing

I believe the inital reports stated that he left her in the gift shop at 1am and headed to the casino. Sometime after that, no time given, he returned to their room and proceeded to go to sleep even though she had not yet returned. He claimed to have fallen asleep and he didn't notice her missing until he got up at 8am the next morning.

At least that is what I think I read?

Unfortunately we cant get the passenger list. The lock down was not done because the boat docked at 7am and she was only reported missing at 8am......

she did not email anyone that we know about at this time

they said they were docking at 7 am and he notified them an hour later at 8am. there is an article which says he got up at 7am and she was still not in the room so he went looking for her and notifed the capitain or whoever at 8 am

Smokers have a tendency to know intimate areas of the places where they are staying because they have to find places to smoke. And they wander around the smoking areas more than anywhere else because they spend a lot of time there. Get to know the area well if you know what I mean. Now if there was a designated area on the deck for smokers that is the area that I would be honing in on. He may have asked Fariba to meet him in his "smoking" area that night. Or she may have spent just as much time in that area with him. I'm sure as a smoker he also spent a lot of time in that casino which was the only other designated smoking area I believe. I would think that they at least have cameras there and the FBI has this footage.

I read that he said something about them watching a comedy show and then two hours later she was missing? So I'm assuming the comedy show ends around 11pm, which seems pretty standard for these types of cruises. And he's referring to the 1am time when he supposedly left her in the gift shop as the official time she was missing because he never saw her after that? Now on the cruise reviews, a poster stated that there was a dance party after the comedy show on the cruise they were on (not the same days as Fariba unfortunately). I'd find out where that dance party is held and whether there was one that night. Is it held on the deck? Sometimes it's just as easy to do things in the middle of a loud party and go unnoticed as it is to do it in complete seclusion. And that party should have been from about 11pm-2am or maybe even later.

I truly hope you are able to get more help from the FBI than it seems like you're getting at the moment. Setting up a facebook account for help might get you in contact with some of the other passengers who may have interacted with Fariba during the cruise.

As a family member can you tell me how to contact Fariba's sisters ? I searched on the internet and I found no email contact, no facebook page dedicated to Fariba's missing.

How can someone who has serious information can contact the family ? Create at least a facebook page for Fariba's missing !! it's free of charge.


And to reply to someone question in this forum: Yes the boyfriend is a smoker.

Were you on the cruise with them ginobo? I hope so and I hope you're able to provide Helen with some information.

Now by looking at that picture, I wouldn't say the barrier is all that secure or difficult to get through. A small woman like Fariba would easily fit through those horizontal bars. So climbing or lifting doesn't appear to be necessary.

Lots of good information in that clip Helen. Do you know when this cruise was first planned and whether it was his idea? And does it seem odd to you that he or they would plan a very short cruise like this so far away? The travel time just to get to Florida and back from BC doesn't make it seem worth it? Or was this an excursion of a longer vacation with them planning to spend some time in Florida either before or after the cruise?

There would still be a need to lift or climb. Those vertical bars would come at least to her waist. She couldn't just 'fall' over. JMO

After seeing the rails on the ship, I have crossed "accident" off my list of possibilities completely. There's just NO way. *IF* she went overboard, she either (a) climbed up/over/thru the rails and jumped deliberately, or (b) was lifted/pushed thru by someone. IMO, (a) seems unlikely.

I'm really not sure she boarded the ship when it left the Bahamas. As Janda said here on page 1, she and her husband took the same cruise the week before, and her husband swiped her card for her more than once during the trip. Knowing this, I think it's very possible something happened to Fariba in the Bahamas, and someone else swiped her card on the return voyage - JMO.

I wonder if her BF has truly been cleared by the FBI? Isn't he the only one saying that? I don't have sound on my laptop so haven't watched the videos, and may have missed something...

I would hope that it can be confirmed that she was on the ship by some videos. If they went to the comedy show and they could have been walking around else where as well. I wonder the extent o af surveillance system that the ship has in place. I'm assuming that all the videos are being studied for him alone and for him and her together.
