Apparently all Tapes were handed over to the FBI, which could amount to a lot of footage, so it may take time to study it all in great detail.IMO

I'm really not sure she boarded the ship when it left the Bahamas. As Janda said here on page 1, she and her husband took the same cruise the week before, and her husband swiped her card for her more than once during the trip. Knowing this, I think it's very possible something happened to Fariba in the Bahamas, and someone else swiped her card on the return voyage - JMO.

I wonder if her BF has truly been cleared by the FBI? Isn't he the only one saying that? I don't have sound on my laptop so haven't watched the videos, and may have missed something...

My heart goes out to you and your family, helenbee. Fariba is such a beautiful, vibrant woman - I hope she is found soon.

Do you remember where you saw the pictures of the railing? I'm wondering if the rails are 30, 36, or 42 inches.

I heard last week that the boyfriend had been cleared by the FBI.
 
Just a couple of quick points..

1, was the casino in the same direction from the gift shop as their cabin?

2, if not were they seen going in opposite directions?

3, if it was, would the cabin come first?

there had to be a camera if they changed decks that would have picked either them both together, or either one separatly..

~jmo but I just don't buy his story. Not at all. A man like that does not leave his woman alone to roam a cruise ship even in the daytime. At night she retires WITH him. No way he just "fell asleep". I find his timing in reporting her missing deliberate.

So did they go to the gift shop after the show? I was under the impression that is where they were last seen together. Depending on what terms they parted, even if she wanted to just go for a walk and be alone, I would not have gone to the casino, if i cared about her, i would have kept her in sight albeit at a distance..

However, the FBI has the surveillance tapes and hopefully will be able to glean some info from them. It would be dumb/risky of him to pretend she boarded the ship if she really didn't, but hey, stranger things have happened...

BAHAMAS CELEBRATION gift shop not open at 1am. The CASINO is usually winding down play at that time. Most of the passengers on this Ship come onboard thru promotions from Timeshare co's. and don't stay up and gamble into the wee hours Both times that I was on the Ship my trips were specificaly to gamble and the Casino was nearly empty past the 1am hour. Invistagate the " BOYFRIEND " he's got to be the PRIMARY SUSPECT ! Most if not all CRUISE LINES have specific hours of operation of their retail shops and this ship is no exception. Most pasengers are in their Cabins at that hour, as you must disembark the ship when it arrives at the PORT OF PALM BEACH !...more

Surely if she was on board , someone would have seen them at the show or seen her in the gift shop.
How did they spend the time between the show and the casino/gift shop?
Did they dine on board?

I think (if he did something to her) an argument ensued at the gift shop. Perhaps looking at jewelry? He went to the casino alone because he needed an alibi QUICK! In the event that someone happened to see something on board or in the water. Once he was certain he had not been caught he retired to his room to get his story straight. the length of time it took to report her missing shows me he was nervous about what would happen.

Otto, I was looking at the video still in EGirl's post #156. The railings look to be about 5 ft tall, with several horizontal bars. One could climb over or through, but I think accidentally falling overboard would be impossible. JMO.

This just really makes me sad.
I do wonder if this was the first time he has taken this trip.
I am shocked there weren't more cameras on board!

Ok, this is so disturbing to me! My husband, 2 kids and myself just got off this same cruise the voyage before this one (on Monday). This ship is not really a cruise, but a ferry. The 2 nights includes the trip over where it drops you off in the Bahamas, where u then stay for a few days, then the one night to get back to FL. As far as her falling off, I don't see how it's possible. There's a 5 foot fence going all the way around all the open deck areas. It would take quite a bit of effort to fall over that fence! It's quite ironic because my husband & I had a conversation about how it would be a "perfect" crime scene because there are absolutely no cameras anywhere and the open deck was completely desolate. As far as the card swiping goes, my husband swiped all 4 of our cards when the three of us were off doing something else. They never checked to make sure we were present or our identities when they swiped our cards or that we even got on the ship. I really hope this lady decided to stay in the Bahamas in hiding, but it seems very suspicious and the fact they stopped looking for her in 24 hours is disgusting in my opinion.

How did you get back on the ship without those cards? I know we had to go through a turnstyle and hand our cards to a crew member to swipe and he checked our picture coming back from a cruise to Mexico. Seems a very serious lack of security on this particular ship???? jmo
