People is publishing twitters re the charges from several stars.

    For instance,
    and
    and
    Arsenio Hall ✔@ArsenioHall

    and
I couldn't believe the nasty comments were made about Apatow because he didn't point out every rapist operating in Hollywood and hinting at ulterior motives for attacking BC. So many trolls out there.

I've read on and off about BC's rapes. Just disgusting, he wasn't my hero so no love loss here. Gloria A said he had 700 lawyers, of course that's a large firm and 700 wouldn't be working on BC's case but might have gotten a memo to review the case lol...What firm? I found one with over 700 employees. If it's already been announced, then nevermind. Just curious about what 700 are involved.

It's an interesting article and includes the names of several attorneys representing victims in addition to GA.

Monique Pressley represented him today, but I don't know who else is involved.

She's with him in the AP photo of the stumble on the way into court as mentioned upthread which ran with the article.

He was on Jay Leno back in Nov 2013 and made a Mister Magoo type entrance, walking in the wrong direction. It's been pulled from youtube (where I watched at the time after hearing about it.) There was talk at the time that he had vision problems (and maybe other problems) but I think he said it was all staged. It was very odd.

It makes me crazy happy to think that any Cosby defense that the encounter was consensual will be greatly undermined by the fact that Constand is gay, and had rebuffed his previous two sexual advances.

Because then that leaves...what other possible defense?

    Nada, zip, zilch, nothing, nada.

I think he'll be not guilty because he didn't do it. Same as Michael Jackson. I hope it doesn't kill him before he's exonerated.

After seeing the tv show where a room full of women who say they were drugged and assaulted by Mr Cosby shared their nearly identical stories, I hope he gets what is due.

    Here's one:
    They also have 700+ attorneys.

Another huge firm that he's employed is Cozen O'connor that has over 600 attorneys.

What's with his outfit? After all the sanctimonious talks about how black youth dress, he's wearing a hoodie and a t-shirt to court?

Has the amount Cosby paid Constad to settle the civil suit been released?

If I was in the company of someone who made any sort of sexual advance that made me uncomfortable, rest assured you would NEVER find me in his company EVER again. I wonder why she kept going back to his home? Thoughts?

The problem Cosby is going to have is no one can give their consent to have sex if they are rendered unconscious at the time it happened. When that happens it is a rape or a sexual assault.

We have seen how that has worked out for other defendants who raped a female who was passed out from drugs or alcohol even if the victim knowingly took them or had something slipped in their drink.

There was a case just this year during spring break in Panama City Florida where a young girl was passed out on the beach from drinking too much alcohol and three strange men she didn't know came up and raped her right on the beach. They are all charged with first degree rape. The idiots even videoed it with their cell phones.

So even though his lawyers may work around giving them drugs they will not be able to change the law concerning consent.

    IMO

Unfortunately, that is quite common for rape victims. Some still are drawn to them. Other than the rape he may have treated them nicely at times. They knew he held a lot of power. Some are too fearful to tell the rapist they don't want to be around them anymore fearing retaliation. And for a long time some of the victims will try to convince themselves it was all their fault... when in truth no one has a right to take advantage of anyone sexually who they have rendered impaired.

I have read comments given by a lot of these victims as to why they kept having something to do with him or how they felt at the time and its very consistent with other rape victims. IMO

I really don't know the answer. I do remember in OJs civil trial a lot of it was based on what came out by the witnesses in the criminal trial but in civil trials the rules are more relaxed than criminal trials.

I am sure his lawyers will try to bring the civil settlement up but then they would be opening the door to what he said when he was deposed I would think.

All along... before he finally fired his lawyer... their tactic was to blame the victims and call them ALL liars. I think BC finally realized that tactic was hurting him even more and riled more people up than they were before.

So I don't know what tactic they will use. Isn't there a law now that protects rape victims from being vilified on the stand?

I don't understand. Someone who has been fondled inappropriately is then drawn to the person who behaved inappropriately? As I understand it, she wasn't a "rape" victim and wasn't in any way incapacitated during the first two encounters, so her reasons to keep returning wouldn't be the same as those of a rape victim, IMO. After she had been incapacitated during the incident, she never returned.

Bill Cosby's attorney: 'My client is not guilty' of felony sexual assault charge

    Elizabeth Murray

    TODAY

A lead attorney representing Bill Cosby said the felony sexual assault charge filed against the comedian Wednesday is the result of "political football."

"My client is not guilty," Monique Pressley told Savannah Guthrie on TODAY Thursday. "And there will be no consideration on our part of any sort of arrangement."
