Texas billionaire H. Ross Perot dies aged 89

Dallas – H. Ross Perot, the colorful, self-made Texas billionaire who rose from a childhood of Depression-era poverty and twice ran for president as a third-party candidate, has died. He was 89.

How nice of these Boy Scouts to pay a tribute to Ross Perot! imo

During the 1992 Presidential Campaign Ross Perot was making noise when out of the blue he quit. He did re-enter the election but had killed a lot of his momentum by then. I often wondered what would have happened if he had not quit the first time and if he could have possibly won or at least finished ahead of George Bush.

Does anyone remember a made for T.V. movie in the 80's called On Wings of Eagles? It was about Ross Perot putting together a special unit to rescue his employees from Iran. Richard Crenna portrayed Perot and it also starred Burt Lancaster, Esai Morales, and Paul Le Mat.
