    Posted: Wednesday, October 5, 2016 10:45 am | Updated: 10:48 am, Wed Oct 5, 2016.

    By Laurence Hammack laurence.hammack@roanoke.com 981-3239

Thirty years after unidentified skeletal remains were found on the banks of the Jackson River, Alleghany County authorities have finally put a name on the case.

The remains are those of 17-year-old Michael Dean Perdue, who was reported missing in May 1985, authorities say.

(Hope it's ok to post this here, I couldn't find a thread for either the missing teen or the remains)
