If the sexual attack didn't occur in the house, then how do you explain the DNA they recovered from presumably the couch?

My theory: I think he used the bear to cover her face so she wouldn't make any noise and raped her right there on the couch. Then he probably discovered that he killed her in the act, so he took her and the bear with him, probably exiting through the back door, which would explain how the blanket wound up in the kitchen.

Where is the link that said they recovered his DNA from the couch?

DNA comes in many forms. It could have been a cigarette butt from outside the house. It doesn't have to be seminal fluid, blood, or such. Hair could also account for his DNA being found at the scene. There are so many things which do not go directly towards the sexual assault taking place on that sofa.

Did you ever think that maybe the perp could be shopping MySpace for his next victim? People really put TOO much info on MySpace, such as their weekend plans, etc.!!!

Nawwww....I can't see him sitting on myspace when the whole world is looking for him. That would be careless. A few of the people I have found that fit the description are actually DJ's....which would actually make sense for a possible job of the perp!

One thing that still puzzles me from one of the abductions is that the perp took the victim back to her house. Am I correct on that?

Yes, he did take the victim from the Dec. 16th rape back to her home and let her go.

Whether a person has recently been on their Myspace account has no bearing on whether they have or haven't recently commited a crime. Many have posted before and after a crime. In almost every case I've run across recently. JMO.

Oh, absolutely he would!! Careless is this perp's middle name!!! Look how much evidence he left on both scenes and with the other witness!!

It would make sense for him to be scouring the Myspace sites and Facebook sites to find his prior victims (visiting their websites would give him another sense of power and control after the fact)...at the very least...and perhaps to find new victims.

It sounds like there were alot of traffic in the apartment with alot of possible DNA from many people. It will be interesting to see what kind of DNA source it was and where it was found.

I could see it being a hair on the couch.

hard to say, Reno is alot like Las Vegas in the sense that there are alot of people who come and go, transients who work in the casinos, etc. I think this guy is long gone out of the area by now.

I really doubt he's worried about getting caught on MySpace, if anything it's upping his anonymity, he's just one of the mix. It doesn't sound like he's an overly bright criminal so I doubt he's giving it that much forethought. I'm sure he's probably continuing on with his life as he was before so as not to arouse suspicion. We don't even know if the suspect had a myspace account in the first place!

I would be interested to know more about how that happened. Why would he do that? That was so risky! Did he just drive by and push her out of the truck?

what if the other victim, one which he dropped back off and then tried to break in the day before brianna disappered, it said she was foreign, maybe taiwanese - she may have had long dark hair - maybe she was friends w/KT or the people living @ that house or partied there - perp couldn't get in night before then drove by and saw a dark haired girl on their couch and thought she was staying there????

i know if something like that happened to me and i lived away from home i would want to be where i felt safe and is probably why she returned home....i forget what article i saw that in that she went back home ??

I think the fact that he dropped her off at home after the assault speaks to his intelligence, or lack thereof. I mean, WHO DOES THAT?!? I'm ever-so-thankful he did, and this girl is no doubt alive and well today and not in Brianna's place because of it. But seriously, I've never heard of a case of a repeat sexual offender who drops one of his victims off at home after he's finished with her. Intelligent he is not.

yes, and most asian women i know have very dark hair, whether long or not usually dark in color....

Wow, Dimples! So far that site has yielded some interesting finds.

He had a Raider's chair in his living room (a raider's shirt was mentioned in one assault).

There is a Sierra truck...older model...with a step and even tho the cab is white...the back certainly looks dark blue to me.

There are babies.
