Something seems off to me, almost like this could be a pieced together version of events, gathered from various ideas/sources.

And, that part about, suddenly she jumped up after she had been stabbed and left for dead. I mean it could be true, Mickey was very strong.

However, we have to think in terms of a perp. protecting himself with aid from advisors, so to speak.

So, bottom line, can this statement be disputed with further evidence gathered?

I live in the Saint Streets. I have a 12 year old daughter who was riding her bike to her friend's house a few blocks away maybe 5 hours before BSL abducted Mickey. If he had been on the prowl just a few hours earlier I wonder if this nightmare would have been visted upon me. Thank you Mickey for taking this out of society, never to hurt a little girl again.

Let's move this over and continue here please. I'll bring over the posts.

With all that you just heard...your priority is making sure we don't discuss the Circle K? That is the LAST thing on my mind for sure!!!!

I am curious about the friend he visited with before going to the hospital on the 19th. Can this person be charged with anything. Seems like bsl told this person what happened.

I'm curious to know what he has to say for himself but honestly, I can't imagine what he could possibly say to the Shunicks...don't know if I could or would ever read it if I were in their place. Such nonsense and so disturbing...
In the plea statement on pg 2 it states life imprisonment with hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, suspension of sentence...thank God! You made me look for that one!

Probably says "I am sorry I had to kill your daughter but she sprayed me with mace and stabbed me so I had to protect myself or she wa going To kill
me."I am noticing a habit of RSO's never accepting responsibility.

God bless the Shunicks. I'm so proud of you, Mickey.

Can you imagine the stench in that truck by May 24? Even with a wipedown of the blood and tissue, there is no way he would have been able to get everything out with his injuries. In between his stab wounds, her stab wounds, the gunshot within a cab (no ricochet?), and the postmortem loss of body sphincter control, that cab would have been saturated with fluids that would have festered in the 80°-90°F heat.

No wonder he burned the truck.

I think it is probably Adam from TD, maybe they didn't mention his name, and he isn't really a friend...might have used that term. If you read the TD post he stated that BSL talked about getting stabbed.

No not Adam. He said he didn't see BSL until the Monday after. Plus, he doesn't live in NO.

Ok, I'm home now. I was there, scribbling away. Here is what Stutes said regarding Mickey:

She was seen on video on Ryan St. and on St. John @ intersection with University. She crossed over University to St. Landry at 1:48 a.m. BSL was driving south on University on the inside lane. He moved to the outside lane of University and took a quick turn onto St. Landry. He was driving around calling escort services and headed toward Blackham. He followed Mickey through a residential area, and about midway between Dean & Colesieum, he struck Mickey. She was thrown from her bike. He had a knife and a semi-automatic handgun in his truck. He approached her and told her to get in the truck. He either enticed, persuaded, or forced her into the front passenger's seat and put the bike in the bed of his truck. He drove to many other places (which were not stated). She grabbed her cellphone to call for help, he pulled the knife out, she sprayed him with mace, he got the mace, she got his knife and stabbed him, causing 'life-threatening wounds' and cut tendons on his hand/finger(s). He got the knife back and stabbed her 4 times. She fell over. He drove 30-40 minutes away to a sugarcane field where he was going to dispose of her and leave. She jumped up after having gotten the knife again and stabbed him in the chest. He shot her in the head, killing her instantly. He drove home with her in the passenger seat. He cleaned up and took her to the cemetery, but he couldn't dig because his hand was too badly injured. He then hid her body in the tree line and covered her with leaves and branches and drove home. At 8 the next morning, he called a friend in NOLA and left at 11 a.m. to go visit said friend. On the way, he threw the bike in the water and threw the knife in a dumpster in NOLA. (I couldn't hear what was said about the gun, if anything). On May 20, he returned from NOLA and went to the cemetery where he buried Mickey. He then went back home and burned evidence, including her book bag, and disposed of her Ipod.

God Bless God Bless God Bless that little girl and her family. She fought like the dickens.

Shout out to a fellow WSer who sat behind me!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Nice meeting you!

Nothing that most of us will ever do in our lives will ever approach the importance of what Mickey did in death. What a strong young woman! As heartbreaking as today's news is, I am so very proud of her. You got him, Mickey! In your last act on earth, you got him! Rest well, precious lady.

Wow, the pain and shock comes in waves. The sadness begins all over again hearing the details. For Micky and Lisa's parents, it must seem like a never ending nightmare. For those who have missing loved ones, it must seem like they might finally get some answers. For Brandon's family and friends who have to hear what he did, it must seem with disbelief that someone they know and love is capable of doing something so horrid and keep it secret for so long.

My heart goes out to all today. We have been wounded in a way that will always be scarred. Our children once again will have parents worried to death when they are away from home for any reason. Our young women of the community will again have another part of their youth stolen - innocence lost. Where can they be safe again?

Oh God, help us all. May we never, ever have to go through another event such as this. When we don't know who the enemy is, the victim is much more vulnerable. God bless us.
