In case someone doesn't know, food stamps have been around since long before any of these children were even born. Also, so has WIC (women and infant children). There were ways to get food if David was unemployed.

Also, the Huntsville thing... The interesting part of that is the location.

That is correct, Food Stamps have been around in various forms since 1939. But no way would they have qualified. Food Stamp recipients can have a maximum of $2,250 in countable resources. They almost certainly would have had way more then that. Plus even if they did qualify, they would have only gotten about $1,000 a month. For a family that size, that wouldn't have been much more then they were eating. About one meal a day.

In the last thread there was mention of the middle boy seeming to be sicker than the others. I wonder if he (or any of them) have Coeliac's disease, or similar allergies/intolerances. Because if they were only being fed once a day, I don't think it would have been specific individual diets with nutrition in mind. What if he has food allergies, and the food they were fed included those allergens? e.g. if he's got coeliac but all they were fed was toast

My prediction for the plea bargain, which I think is inevitable.

12 counts of torture - dropped
12 counts of false *imprisonment - guilty plea
Seven counts of abuse of a dependent adult - guilty plea
Six counts of child abuse - guilty plea
One count of sexually abusing a child - probably dropped.

On the 37 counts they will be sentenced to consecutive sentences. Which will equal multiple life sentences.

I'm interested in this too. This bit of information is missing from the official timeline. The record shows that the Turpins rented a postal box in Burleson, TX from 1986 until 2003. So what were they doing in Los Angeles in 1988 when the eldest was born? Does this account for the four year gap between her and the eldest son?

Iam actually pretty shocked that NOBODY at all reported the dead dogs, cats and abandoned dogs in the house to anyone? This is bad really bad.. Its Known that people who abuse/kill animals end up abusing/killing people.. and in this case this is what exactly happened!!.

Its really sad how lax people can be with animal abuse still. That was clear abuse, no mistaking there. I mean if they left kids behind like that it would be reported. Why not report that? I just find it odd that None of that was reported .. That is just Not normal to move out of your house and leave behind multiple dead animals and animals trying to survive on dirty diapers.. Its not normal..at least I don't think it is.

Not particularly important but was just thinking - if it's accurate that Survivor #8 was born approx November 13, and Survivor #4 was also a mid November birthday, that implies they could be "valentine's day babies". Which is unpleasant to think about but adds to the fact that DT and LT seem to be big on special dates, anniversaries etc.
