Cottonwood woman missing
636264081688712375-Bridget.jpg

A Cottonwood woman has been missing for almost two weeks, and a man by her husband's name has been arrested on suspicion of murder,
though Shasta County sheriff's officials have not confirmed who his victim was and her family was unaware of his arrest.

Bridget Jacobs, 38, was reportedly last seen at a local casino, though friends said they weren't sure which one.
She's apparently been missing since at least March 19, according to a Facebook post from friends.

This does not read well. I hope LE speaks to her family soon. ETA I understand LE may not have answers for them yet but still just to touch base.

The story must have been updated ... :(:

"Shasta County sheriff's officials say Philip Jacobs told them he dumped his wife's body in Whiskeytown Lake after she accidentally fell down the stairs during an argument. Still, they're charging him with murder in her death."

Grr ....

This is horrific (from the FB page of the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office) ... :(:

"Philip Jacobs admitted to keeping Bridget’s body inside the residence until 03/19/17 when he then placed her body in the blue boat and drove her out to Whiskeytown Lake to the Brandy Creek Marina with the yellow FJ Cruiser. Once at the lake, Philip Jacobs stated he rowed the blue boat out from the marina and then dumped Bridget’s body into the lake, tied to a cement cinder block."

The photo of the boat and the FJ Cruiser at the link appears to be a still image from security video ... so eerie and disturbing ....

So where is the dog?
Jackson said Philip Jacobs admitted to calling 911 on March 15 during an argument with Bridget Jacobs, but she walked off before deputies showed up at the home, along with her purse, cell phone and 4-year-old Pomeranian-Yorkshire mix, Abijah

RIP Bridget

My heart hurts for her loved ones.

Gruesome. They had a short and sounds like volatile marriage. Sad.
Sheriff's Sgt. Brian Jackson said it doesn't appear the body parts were separated because of natural decomposition. "We don't know what type of tools or instruments were used at this time. That would be something for the coroner's office to determine later next week," Jackson said.

RIP Bridget

Thanks for posting an update on Bridget's case. I'll never understand how a person can do this to someone they supposedly love or loved at some point prior to killing and dismembering their body. It seems the entirety of Bridget's remains have not been located. It's probably best we leave the thread here until we find verification that her head and hands have been recovered. Ugh...I hate typing that. This is so sad. :( May she rest in peace.

Understand and thanks for your reply

...and yes, I had to edit one of the titles posted by msm.

I did notice in another missing person case that her wallet (and other personal belongings) were also locked in the house safe.

Thankfully, another person will not be harmed by her ex-husband.
