NEWS RELEASE: AT-RISK MISSING (2) CHILDREN-SIBLNGS IN SOUTH SACRAMENTO

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in locating two children that are siblings and who were reported missing from their residence/apartment complex at the 8100 block of Waterman Road in South Sacramento.

8-year-old Cheriyah Dizon and 12-year-old Aaron Safrans were last seen playing outside the main entrance of their apartment complex at around 6:30 p.m. on August 23, 2021.

Cheriyah (see attached photo) is described as an Asian female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 4’ tall and 70 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink flowered short jumpsuit.

Aaron (see attached photo) is described as an Asian male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 4’ 11” and 85 pounds. Aaron was last seen wearing a black shirt and black shorts.

Both children were reported missing just after 10 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021 by their adoptive family. Another juvenile at the scene stated they may have saw Cheriyah talking to someone in a vehicle in front of the complex.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of these missing children is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (916) 874-5115.

From the link above "Detectives believe that their biological mother, Reychel Dizon, took the children from their school in the 9500 block of Fite School Road. Dizon does not have custody of the children and is currently homeless, the sheriff’s office said."

probably different fathers, its not uncommon.

Most likely because they're believed to be with their mother.

If their mom has them, though, they're likely endangered. If she doesn't have custody it's pretty likely there's a reason, and that reason probably means she may not have the ability to parent them well.

I hope they're found soon!

I was hoping that there would be some current news about these two, but there is nothing.

They are on the CA Attorney General's missing persons page. They are still not on the missing children page -- but I see that the most current missing date on the "Featured Missing Children" page is 2017, so maybe it's just "featured" cold cases.)

Looks like their bio-mother has made some bad choices. Loaded pistol, drugs lead to arrests in Rohnert Park
The man was on felony probation for a previous vehicle theft, had a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol. Also A large amount of marijuana, as well as heroin and methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and a high-capacity magazine, were also discovered in the vehicle.
