Reports: Sources say shooting suspect Christopher Dorner's truck abandoned after axle broke
A former Los Angeles police officer suspected in three murders abandoned his truck when its axle broke, leading to a door-to-door search at Big Bear that entered its third day Saturday, two TV networks reported.
Key events in Dorner manhunt
Key events involving Christopher Dorner, the fired Los Angeles police officer suspected of killing at least three people including a police officer in Southern California and posting a manifesto on Facebook outlining plans to kill the families of those he felt wronged him:

Could we please stick to the subject at hand.
Please stick to main stream media articles.
Definitely keep any political overtones out of the discussion. This is NOT a political issue but a human issue.

Wonder if LE thinks/knows he has a smart phone and may be following.
Holy sheesh a neighbor (next to the cabin where Dorner was holed up) said it was only 300 yards from the burned out truck! How is it possible they wouldn't check the cabins CLOSEST to the truck!
manifesto from fox news
2 other officers hit who are on their way to the hospital.
Deputies are discussing the possibility that he got away by stealing another vehicle... possibly even a Sheriff's patrol car.
They HAVE to confirm whether or not he is in that cabin!
Deputies are also racing DOWN the mountain, away from the cabin scene. (Going to the hospital or somewhere else?)
The murdered woman's dad was his lawyer. He didn't kill the lawyer though, but his daughter and her husband, stating that because he himself had no family, the lawyer doesn't deserve to have one either.
There was also mention that he telephoned the lawyer sometime after the kills and taunted the father by saying something to the effect of "You're not very good at protecting your daughter, are you."
Crazy just crazy, FOX news reporting that it is looking like he could have been just yards away from the command center.
Significant amount of tear gas at cabin now. No gunfire heard. Per KCal9
Discussing this now on CNN
I have no desire to see him, or anyone else, victim or perp, for that matter, shot to death. In fact, I think that is the one thing that is wrong with our society. People want to see the gore. Our society calls for it. Demands it. And worships it. The pure hatred and wish for violence that surrounds cases like these is breathtakingly frightening.
yes - that is what local is reporting too
CHP officer still refuses to comment on the condition of injured officers.
The lawyer was also a cop... and the fiance was also a cop.
OMG....really? If that is true wtf is right! Is someone missing their patrol car???
Unaccounted for Sheriff's vehicle? MsF, can you source please? (Don't doubt you...)
