RIVERSIDE: Missing-man case haunts relatives, police
    April 2014

On July 7, 2010, Riverside resident Donald William Tobin, 52, climbed in his silver 2007 Toyota Corolla and drove toward a storage facility in the city.

Two days later, he was reported missing. Two days after that, his car was found abandoned at Riverside’s Carlson Dog Park at the base of Mount Rubidoux, parked in a stall with his identification card, wallet and cellphone locked inside.

All banking, phone and other electronic activity immediately ceased. Tobin never showed up for his new job as a driver with the Inland AIDS Project, and he has not been seen or heard from since.

The mystery has vexed relatives and police.
