I really thought it was a long shot for that pacifier to belong to Ember. My heart is breaking for JG and at the same time I'm mad as :furious: at MG and those who enabled him.

This didn't have to happen.

They need dogs. Tracking dogs AND cadaver dogs.

Unfortunately, given the time and the heat tracking/trailing dogs wouldn't have much luck.

HRD dogs yes, but they've got to have a good idea of where to look first (the areas near the pacifier certainly could be done).

Weather really presents a problem up there for working dogs, both for what the scent does and for the time a dog can spend working and for the safety of the dog.

I was looking at social media accounts, before they went private, and there were so many photos of Ember with her pacifiers. And they were all easy to recognize, not like the standard hospital pacifiers that my youngest liked. They had a bigger base and designs and characters that would be easy to recognize.

I had a strong feeling that when Jamie was told they found a pacifier in Ono and described it to her, she probably knew it belonged to Ember.

That's why she lost it and ended up in the hospital. It's probably why everyone in the family freaked out. And it's why MG took off running. I think they were getting close to finding out where she is.

Before that, the family was searching and searching and every day nothing was found, it helped them to believe that maybe MG was telling the truth and someone really had taken the baby. That pacifier was a devastating blow to everyone involved.

.....and clearly once MG ran we knew he wasn't in a black out not remembering what happened. He clearly remembered the location of his daughters pacifier, now where is Ember?

I may have missed this somewhere along the way...but have they ever said if they have Ember's car seat? Was it found in MG's home? Left in his truck? Missing? Just curious! If anyone knows, TIA!!

For the longest time I was giving MG the benefit of the doubt. I was assuming that he innocently found his baby dead in her playpen, from a seizure or SIDS----and he covered it up in a panic.

But now, the way he ran, and left no note nor explanation, took a gun, took the easy way out in a suicide by cop, etc---I think it might have been more malicious than I first believed.

A local recorded the drive from the pacifier recovery site to the Happy Stop.

The drive took 11:50. They didn't speak or narrate the video (only saying "stop" at the end).

Here is a screen grab of the very end of the video. I tried my best to capture the gas pump and the front of the store.

What is so notable to me is how remote the starting point is. They appeared to make the drive earlier in the day (than the timestamped images we've seen of MG, based on the lighting - but I could be wrong. That said, they passed only a handful of other motorists (more as they got closer to the Happy Stop).

The distance is significant. They weren't driving slow. It puts the sheer magnitude of the SAR grid into heartbreaking perspective. I truly hope today's search revealed information to direct LE in future searches, because the terrain is simply vast between Ono and the Happy Stop. Add in the distance to Ember's home, and it is just more ground to cover. :(

I truly hope the Mods will allow this post to remain. :please:
It was beyond eye opening to view.

Just a thought. A lot of truck drivers lower the tail gate for better gas mileage on the highway.

That would mean that he pulled out of the gas station with the tailgate up, drove the baby for awhile trying to get her to sleep OR went and to dispose of her body, and somewhere along the way (the trip he claimed not to remember) he realized he could be saving on gas money if he put his tailgate down, so stopped to do so. In the first scenario that would be weird. In the second scenario it would be callous to a point of sociopathy, which I guess in this case would be in keeping with his other actions. Yuck.

Thanks sooo much Kimi!! Here's the start location on Google maps:

https://www.google.com/maps/@40.474...4!1sNlvNqGqCNwrN1NOs37EhbQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

https://www.google.com/maps/place/1...2!3m1!1s0x54d2e158ea5bda39:0x111344355f733410

It's at Platina and Buell Rd.

Anyone know driving time from store to where the paci was found in Ono. From the market, If he took Cloverdale to Clear Creek to Platina Rd and turned left onto Church St it looks like it leads straight to Eagle Creek which is near Ono. I bet he didn't bury her, may have been his plan since he had a shovel. But if the paci was found near this area I bet she's in Eagle Creek. Jmo.

This map http://goo.gl/maps/yf2P5 u have to enlarge the map to see the route
Bringing this forward...and yes I think he noticed the paci in his truck as he was leaving Church St and threw it out the window. Stupid for him to do but he's not know for good decision making skills. Jmo
