If I didn’t live states away, I would go out there and methodically walk each street to see if I came across her car anywhere. Chances are it’s not out there, but it would be worth checking. After seeing that surveillance video, my opinion is she parked out the other end of that alley someplace and not in the H+F garage. Probably within a block of two.

I live in the Hope and Flower Building in DTLA. I’ve been somewhat following this discussion and wanted to add a few things. One the parking garage needs a remote to get into it and all spaces are assigned. We pay $200 a month for parking and more if you want valet. Guests have to park in a public lot across the street for $20 a night. Two we have to keep a list of approved guests at the concierge’s desk and even then we have to come down to the lobby to escort our guests upstairs. Three nobody can get into the elevator and come upstairs unless they have a resident key fob to swipe for your particular floor. Four, my car got damaged in the garage so I asked for the footage from the surveillance cameras. I was told this request had to go through their legal department and to have my attorney or detective handling my case at LAPD contact their legal department. I spend 5k a month on a one bedroom and this place does everything in their power to make it difficult for everyone involved. If I order food, they don’t allow the delivery drivers to bring it to your door. We have to come down and get it from the concierges desk. Same thing with packages. They are supposed to accept them, log them and keep them at the concierges desk yet I’ve had countless packages go “missing” even after the delivery company has received a signature from a concierge. These were big value items. I don’t know ANYONE that is going to be resigning their lease. I don’t know much about this case but I can assure you she didn’t park in the garage, walk in, get in an elevator and get off at the 28th floor. It’s impossible for someone who doesn’t live here and have the garage opener, an assigned spot and a key fob for the 28th floor.

Well, that's an excellent post! Thank you so much. It clears up a lot.

We can now say she must have parked in the public parking lot, and must have been inside on the 28th floor for her dog to have been found there (as residents don't have access to each other's floor and the dog wouldn't be able to wander up there by itself.)

And in order to get to that said floor, Heidi must have been on a resident's pre-assigned guest list, and the resident must have come down to the lobby to escort her back up to their apartment.

I've spent enough time reading the tenant Yelp reviews (complaints) to know the "rules" can and are circumvented. Employees can be lazy ...
But you never know, LE may have gotten all the information you mentioned. But they still don't know where Heidi is.

So again...how does Seven end up (+alone?) on the 28th floor???
You mean 28th or 29th floor, we've seen both stated now.

But to your point - is the outdoor animal play area on the ground floor? Is there more than one? Do they poop and pee on the fake grass?

Yes most likely parked in the public parking directly across the street from H&F, because that would explain her being only steps away from the alley (news video showed her in).
However, I’m starting to think what if she didn’t go to H & F’s building and was actually at the apartments/lofts that are located in the “Flowers Alley” ( I think someone said its called)It would explain why she was coming out of there (in video) because it’s the only way to get to her car.
Just a thought. It’s difficult because they show her coming out only not going in.

Is LE lackadaisical about HP being missing? No BOLO for the car? Yes, LE owes the public nothing, but but but we all have seen cases where being a lot more transparent has brought real tips. I hope they have a handle on this. MOO

Where the Open House was?
I also saw an address on that corner -130- is that for that building, do you know?

Where is the entrance to the lofts? On Flowers (not the alley) or are they accessible thru the alley?
If I had just parked in the parking lot that was probably mostly empty on a Sunday I would've parked close to the road and the H+F building and walked my dog on the sidewalk down to the corner and across the street and then to the entrance.
I thought it was odd to park in that lot and then walk back down the alley if I was going to H+F. MOO

We used to get about 1 inpatient every week or so, who was from out of state (this was a San Francisco adjacent facility).

They were almost all bipolar 1. Manic. Up and left their previous lives, homes, families, jobs, etc. They were psychotic. Found wandering in SF, mostly. This was a veterans facility, so when they ran up against LE and LE attempted to run ID, they would find they were veterans and bring them over.

Their families were often desperately looking for them, had no clue where they were. There was no careful planning. They would go to the airport and buy a ticket somewhere, no one would know where they were for quite some time. They keep traveling, too. They will take risks, hitchhike, etc.

I recall reading an article about a sports figure who did this. No one could make him stay in one place (he was an adult) and he would fly to different cities and disappear for months at a time.

Editing to add:

Here's a link. Actually, I found two stories about two different sports players who have been in this situation. One was a football player and this guy is a baseball player:

I suppose the dog could have been left in or put in the elevator and gotten off when it opened on 28 (or 29, as I've seen both mentioned), but that would be on cctv if it was operational. jmo

Yes they are accessible to the alley side as well.
Exactly.

How does an open house work in a gated loft community? Would the locked access be unlocked? It seems the residential doors are located inside the courtyard. MOO
Looks like its locked so you’d still need to be buzzed in thru if your entering on the alley side. Has cameras also.

The green building with the terracotta gate - are called the Flower Lofts. Flower Street Lofts | Downtown Los Angeles Lofts For Sale
That’s an interesting place. Could she have been looking up at someone in that building rather than the bridge? An offer was accepted on a PH unit on 10/20. Could she have met a buyer or seller? Just adding to the mix here lol.
It’s pet friendly and just buzz in by phone, no security.
Unit 105 has a good shot of the ally and parking- looks like someone has torn open or bent open the flimsy gate before. Hmm.
