Jann Derrick Lactawen, 19, was last seen Oct. 22 around 11 a.m. at his home in San Lorenzo, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.

The 5-foot-7 teen is Filipino with brown eyes and black hair, and weighs around 110 pounds.

According to a flyer posted by his family, he was last seen in a white T-shirt, black basketball shorts and a black hat, and his Clipper card reportedly indicates that he exited at the Montgomery Street BART station that afternoon around 3:15 p.m.

His family has launched a campaign to pay for a private investigator.

The family said Lactawen told his parents that morning that he was going to San Francisco to “chill.” His family said he did not pack any belongings.

SAN LORENZO, Calif. (KTVU) - The family of a missing 19-year-old man from San Lorenzo is asking for help.

They say he's been missing for almost three weeks and fear that he may be hurt or was taken against his will.

Ling and David Lacktawen say their son Jann Derrick doesn't drive, so he relies on public transit or his parents to drive him places.

They say the last activity on his Clipper Card indicates he was at the Montgomery Street BART station in San Francisco.

They say he walked to the Bay Fair BART station and went to San Francisco, a place he likes to visit.

His parents say he likes to shop and eat in the city, " Walk. Go to the waterfront. Skateboarding."

The couple says their son's Clipper Card shows that he exited the Montgomery Street BART Station shortly after 3 p.m.
There's no activity on the card after that. There is also no activity on his bank cards.

Mom and dad say there's no activity on his cell phone starting from three days prior to his disappearance.
They say he's never gone overnight without contacting his family.

He has little to no social media presence. "itsyoboyjann"on Instagram and @jann_lact on Twitter. Very few followers/friends. #jannlactawen brings up the missing persons article which was posted by a family friend. The sister is tagged in the post. In looking at her Instagram, I'm surprised she hasn't been posting the missing persons bulletin every day.

With what parents have said about Jann feeling pressure, lack of social media presence/friends/followers, and the fact that his parents have said his phone had no activity for 3 days prior to his disappearance, I feel they might not get much closure. If he has other profiles, I haven't been able to find them yet.

Details of Disappearance
Lactawen left his San Lorenzo, California residence at 2:00 p.m. on October 22, 2017, without taking any belongings, after telling his parents he wanted to "go chill." He used his Clipper Card to take the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to the Montgomery Street Station in San Francisco. He has never been heard from again.

Lactawen cannot drive and usually uses public transit to get around, or asks his parents to drive him places. He is somewhat familiar with San Francisco and enjoys walking in the city, going skateboarding and spending time in the waterfront.

He graduated from Arroyo High School in 2017 and was attending Chabot Community College at the time of his disappearance. He also had a part-time job as a security guard. His parents describe him as quiet and shy, and stated he felt pressure from the stress of college and becoming an adult.

Since Lactawen's disappearance, there hasn't been any activity on his bank cards, Clipper Card or cellular phone. He is considered to be at risk and his case remains unsolved.
