Found Deceased CA - Kiely Rodni Missing From Party Near Prosser Family Campground in Truckee #3

I’ve got a couple things…I’ve read that Kiely didn’t really know many people at the party, aside from the couple friends that she drove there. The party may have been a big deal to many of the attendees, but it may not have been an attraction for Kiely. She may have just agreed to drive some friends that were already sauced.(drunk, high, whatever)She had the wherewithal to contact her mother about being late. She may not have really been all that messed up, but appeared so to others whom’s judgement was altered.
Another thing, she may have matched her behavior with her friends so others would believe that she too was partying. Nobody really knows.
Somewhere SS had the idea that Kiely may be camping overnight. This could be gathered from the fact that she was actually supposed to be camping with friends the following day. You can’t really count on an impaired person’s perspective. I might be missing developments, and I apologize if so, but I like to consider all angles.

Perhaps she died in one of their fights, and other kids somehow rolled her car or drove her car into the water with her phone to cover it up.

I lived in South Lake Tahoe in my early 20s. I also lived in Kirkwood briefly. Previous poster was right when he described Tahoe in that it’s a very seasonal town. There’s people from all over the world that come to work and live temporarily. Also on any given weekend there’s an influx of vacationers that come up from Sac and SF area. Truckee is a lot smaller town than South Lake. We had the casinos and lots to do. Only once in awhile we’d venture to Reno, Carson City or North Lake. For a treat, we’d drive down to Placerville for In n Out, because that was the closest one to Tahoe.
Since Kiely grew up in Tahoe, has a 4WD car, and generally seems like a smart and responsible girl, I don’t think it was an accident of her own doing. I also think they would have found evidence of the car crashing or tire tracks.
Another scenario other than abduction is maybe she went swimming in the lake and drowned? Perhaps a guy persuaded her into going down and something happened. It’s probably frigid water though. It sucks the reservoir seems murky, because all of the other alpine lakes in the Tahoe area are Crystal clear.

Sure, up until a point. They were separated towards the end of the night, otherwise why would Kiely need to call before leaving? MOO

Has LE made any statement about Kiely being under the influence of drugs or alcohol? Or do we still only have one witness claiming this?

I wouldn't draw any conclusions or inferences based on the statements of one witness. Especially if that witness was highly intoxicated themselves. I'm waiting for info from LE. IMO

I find it hard to believe three or four friends piled into one car multiple times to "charge phones". Kiely supposedly had alcohol in her car, and I think the kids were going to the car to get the alcohol, probably doing creme brulee shots, and perhaps smoking weed or doing other drugs, and any phone charging done while they were there was minimal, especially if they happened to be charging more than one phone. JMO

SS stated:
1. WE WOULD GO BACK TO HER CAR TO GET SOME ALCOHOL SOMETIMES (plural)

2. THEN WE WENT TO HER CAR TO CHARGE "HER" PHONE. (Singular)

4. JUST ABOUT THE PARTY IN GENERAL AND THEN WE HAD A FEW OTHER FRIENDS IN THE CAR AND THEN WE ALL DECIDED TO GO BACK TO THE PARTY.
(There were more than SS and KR in the car, again as others had suggested earlier).

From what I understand, it's not a 45 minute drive from the campground to the lodge so why would she say that?

I just picture 200+ people wandering around in mostly darkness (after 10 pm) drinking, drugs, and who would see anything in particular? were people all parked in a lot? or all over the place? would be nice if someone saw K get into her car and leave...alone or with some one. IMO

The fights may offer a more accurate timeline for when certain patrons were there.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) says they’ve gotten video from a fight that occurred during the party, but they do not believe it had any connection to Rodni.

“If you have video of that night, detectives want more of it,” said Lieutenant Josh Barnhart, PCSO.

The Placer County Sheriff's Office said Saturday it is continued to look for the missing 16-year-old.

It’s pretty cool Elsa P. came forward as she is an athlete. She stated she saw KR late in the night.I think this can debunk this theory that athletes don’t want to come forward to ruin scholarships etc. She may have a lot to lose by coming forward.

Methinks one may set up a defense for people potentially pointing fingers at why no one discouraged KR from driving while intoxicated. jmo. I'm not taking a stance either way on the decisions KR and friends made that night, but I don't think the friends actually assumed she was going to stay overnight or hitch a ride with someone else

If you watch the interview with SS where she's sitting in her car, that's exactly what she does say. She assumed Kiely would just stay there or find a ride home.
She mentions she asked Kiely for a ride home when they were in the car (charging phone to text) because her ride was leaving and she wanted to stay at the party longer. Then they went back to the party and split up. She mentioned splitting up so she could find "them?" another ride so they could....then she was lost in her train of thought. She's probably having a hard time piecing the night together, which I can totally understand.
