Please correct me if I’m wrong.
Didn’t PCSO state last week that they consider Kiely’s disappearance as an Abduction but could not get an Amber Alert issued because no one had seen her leave and her car hasn’t been found or seen on a traffic cam or camera?
It’s a little confusing as LE said they’re considering an abduction only because the car is missing but since there’s no proof of abduction an Amber Alert can’t be called. Here’s the info from August 11:

The Placer County Sheriff's Office told KCRA 3 that the only reason this has been upgraded to a possible abduction is that investigators have not found her car, which is a silver 2013 Honda CRV.

For an Amber Alert to be issued, there are four requisites that need to be met.

  • Proof of abduction
  • The victim is a minor, or they are an individual with a proven mental or physical disability
  • The abductee is at immediate risk of being harmed or dying
  • If there is information shareable to the public that could help bring back the victim.
As of right now, there is no proof of abduction, but the sheriff's office said they are investigating abduction as a possibility because Rodni's vehicle is also missing.

No one has said Kiely was using drugs though.

So far, we have SS saying they were drinking and she gave conflicting/confusing reports abt the level of impairment/intoxication.
I question KR's level of intoxication, and wonder if some of the partygoers are making seem like she was more drunk than she really was. Not sure what their motive would be, other than creating suspicion that she had an accident, or possibly giving SS justification for not getting a ride with KR. It makes no sense to me that KR would drive herself (and her bff) to the party in the first place if she really intended on getting 'effed up' like it was reported. SS even said that KR is not dumb enough to drink and drive.

Reportedly KR arrived at the party around 10:00 pm. She texted her mom at 11:30 pm to let her know she'd be leaving in 45 minutes (presumably driving her car home). In those 90 minutes between 10-11:30 pm she could have gotten quite drunk but if she was wasted I doubt she would have had the foresight or concern to contact her mom. Media makes it seem as though KR and her mom have a good relationship and communicate frequently yet KR's mom didn't sense anything was off about her daughter's message. I would think if KR was drunk she could admit it to her mom and ask for a safe ride without worrying about being in too much trouble. This suggests to me that KR could have been fairly sober at 11:30 pm.

Another reason I question whether KR intended on drinking heavily or using drugs is because of the plans she had for the next morning. She was to meet a friend at 9:00 am and then go on a hiking & camping trip. I know teens can bounce back from a hangover quickly, but still, it doesn't seem to jive. I either think that KR wasn't as drunk as some people report, or if she was, it wasn't her intention from the get-go. Either things got out of control or someone drugged her against her will. I speculate all this may have happened after 11:30 pm.

Just noting there are a fair number of young women, similar age range to Kiely, who have gone missing in the past couple of years in California & Nevada. A few even share a passing resemblance and interests.

Likely coincidence only, and obviously we have no information at this point that points to foul play over a car accident, so again, only noting as something for people to look at, if time/interest allows.

Is there a table, or a list, you know, photos, places and circumstances of disappearance, interests?

We do know that SS was inebriated. I think it is within TOS to state this as she herself says as much i.e. we're not sleuthing her. She also admits things were "jumbled."

If Kiely called her to see if she needed a ride shortly after she left, and SS was really drunk herself, it seems possible she might have conversations about rides from much earlier in the evening jumbled together.

We know there was a party, we know they were drinking but the level of impairment of anyone who was there late in the evening is unknown.

If you have access to Namus you can log in and set the age when they went missing from say 14-20. I looked at young women missing between 2012-present. It took a bit of time to glance at each profile, and as I said, shared interests and passing resemblances may only be coincidental. (To find interests, you are going to need to look for more detailed sites--i.e FInd ___", that sort of thing.)

There isn't a table, and there was not anything jumping out at me as an exceptionally striking pattern, but there was enough that I wanted to mention in case others might pick up on things I overlooked.

This is why the likelihood KR drove off the road should not be eliminated, at least yet:

I'm not sure that's a fair comparison. This missing couple did not have 300 LE personnel, planes, helicopters, boats, ground searchers and all that looking for them. Had that been the case, they likely would have been found in a day or two at most. IMO

Is there not an anonymous tipline where people could call in to give info? This is a common service in many cities.

I question how drunk she really was too based on her call to confirm the status of giving SS a ride. As a person who was also the youngest of my peer group, I definitely played up stuff like this to appear to be like everyone else/more grown up. I honestly think 16 and 18 is a big gap in the world of teenagers even if they were techinally in the same grade. It wouldn't surprise me if her efforts around being a designated driver etc. was a part of filling a certain role in this friend group for acceptance.

''Authorities in Northern California said they're conducting sex offender compliance sweeps, as the search for missing teen Kiely Rodni continues. Rodni disappeared two weeks ago after a party.''

''With no trace of Rodni or her car, detectives are not ruling out a possible abduction, Musallam had said. Though, "right now we don't have any evidence that supports an abduction," Placer County Sgt. Scott Alford told reporters during a press briefing on Aug. 9.''

"We're considering everything," Alford said. "This is a missing person's case, this is a search-and-rescue effort."

I dob’t recall SS ever admitting to being inebriated.

Yeah, I cannot come up with any obvious link either, just noticed it, remembered him too and though whoa! for a moment.

It was quite odd where his car was found...and I don't think his phone was ever recovered?

He was last seen at a gas station in Truckee, right? I wish we knew which local business Kiely was last seen on surveillance aside from the party. (edited because I was confusing). I've probably followed too many threads here on websleuths where people were last seen hanging around gas stations.

Edited #2: I looked at pics online of the gas station Daniel Gallardo used, and it doesn't seem similar to the image released of KR by LE.
I thought they had found him, but they didn’t only his car

I’m trying to understand the older out of towners - how did they find out about the party? They don’t go to high school or college in Truckee - they were described as being from the Bay Area. Posters weren’t on every pole for miles.
Would you let your teenager go to some random party in the dark woods in the family car while you were on vacation out of town?
It didn’t sound like college students that were from Truckee but went to college in SF, etc. More like random out of town older guys? It’s strange.

Great sleuthing! Not sure I can add much and I don't want to be duplicative in my musings, but here are my thoughts:

A. I think something got messed up with communication between some teens about leaving and who was driving, etc.
B. I suspect intoxication from one substance or another is the root behind confusing recollection and miscommunication
C. I wonder if KR had in fact hooked up with an older crowd, or an older person at the party (she may have expected)
D. That may have happened after her younger friends had already left - perhaps she intentionally stayed behind
E. She could, as someone opined earlier, turned off (or airplane mode) her phone to avoid tracking by Mom to stay longer
F. An older crowd may have meant harder drugs, more sexual advances, and access to more places (e.g. houses, bars)
G. She may have lost track of time, she was having a lot of fun, it got very late, and then finally decided to leave
H. How and when she left is such a mystery, but I now suspect she did one of four things very late at night:
  1. left alone and did not head home - but perhaps to Reno or initiated some other grand 'voluntary departure' plan
  2. left with someone else (either one driving her car) - and together they initiate KR's voluntary disappearance
  3. left with someone else offering to drive her car - maybe his/her buddy was driving another car to wherever
  4. left with others, but KR was driving her own car - they went to wherever (a house, casino, bar, a park, etc.)
The more the teens at the party don't talk, the more I suspect KR stayed late at the party with an older crowd. In fact, there may very little picture or video taking with an older crowd (more stealthy in their partying). So LE has very little despite their pleas.

And I think Reno has something to do with an 'after Prosser party scenario'... maybe they drove back roads there.

And why KR and her car have not been found of course is the big question... If H3 or H4 above, then its likely a sad ending. If its H1 or H2 then there is hope she is still alive as long as she is able to survive whatever is happening to her or that she's doing.

ALL IMO!!!

Edited to clean up typos, clarify points.
Some additional thoughts:
After watching videos of driving the route from the party/campground back to KR’s home it appears that a significant majority of the route presents itself as very open and not steep. In other words easy to spot a car. This means that the places where a car could drive off and be hard to find are limited and have likely been searched extensively by volunteers and professionals. I also think it is highly likely that if KR got in the car to drive home she would have plugged in her phone and there would be more data. IMO I do not think she and her car are hidden along the road. Low probability.
Given the lake is a reservoir the level is down slightly leaving an open un-vegetated shore. With the exception of the boat ramp pavement, in any other water entry there would be tracks. The fact that the cell phone stopped near the party area leaves a water entry a possibility. Again the possible places this could happen have been searched and now more equipment will be used by AWP to search the water.
IMO if the AWP search does not locate KR and the car then the probability of foul play becomes very high.
