Kern County sheriff's deputies found human remains at Lake Buena Vista Sunday.

Deputies found a portion of a human leg on the shoreline.

Human leg found at Lake Buena Vista does not belong to Bakersfield 3 woman

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said the results of an autopsy on the human leg found at Lake Buena Vista on July 28 did not reveal the identity of the owner of the leg.

It was determined that the leg belonged to a female.

The autopsy proved that it did not belong to Baylee Despot, who went missing April 25.

I believe the DDP has taken on this case; the Buena Vista Leg Doe is currently at lab for sequencing.

loaded into GEDmatch and undergoing genealogical analysis.

Do others think it's fair to say with such a poor/low number of matches (only 7 matches with highest CM of 12.2) that we are looking for someone from an ethnic group that is under-represented in DNA tests: Native American, Asian etc. Or maybe AA (others, like Rockledge Jane Doe also have very low numbers of matches/CMs).

Sheryl Davenport went missing in 2017 there is a Nissan Sentra (rental) listed with her case on NAMUS, last seen in Hercules.

ETA: Based on the circumstances, I will be surprised if it's her.

Although the case is out of Contra Costra County not LA County.

my son has a sentra, that looks more like an altima or maxima.
