The information on NamUs is incorrect.

His vehicle (a 1988 Plymouth Sundance) was recovered from a parking lot in downtown Los Angeles in October of 1990.

He was last seen at the Santa Maria Town Center Mall (not leaving for work as stated), and had missed an important appointment with the Board of Equalisation in Arroyo Grande shortly after his disappearance.

At the time of his disappearance, he was reported to be despondent due to difficulties with his business (a welding supply store in San Luis Obispo).

Thanks for finding the news clippings, strange the information is so different to what was out into NamUs. They need to update it.

His NamUs page is no longer accessible.

I think he may have been identified as a Doe who commited suicide 3 days later in a hotel in Houston, TX. The stats and circumstanced seem to match and both NamUs profiles were removed in the same time frame.

@iulia - thanks for the update!

A random question. How do you know/keep track of when a Namus page is taken down?

I made a quite a few spreadsheets with all the cases from the NamUs dashboard and I try to check daily for any changes that have occured since my last visit. Unfortunately NamUs does’t inform us when they remove cases, at least I couldn’t find a way, so I do it manually and found a formula that minimizes the risk that I miss something. It took about a year to get here. :D
