Two sisters who ran away from their foster home in Cudahy have been found safe while a third girl remains missing, the sheriffs department announced Wednesday.
Eleven-year-old Jasmin Castro, her sister 14-year-old Samantha Castro and 15-year-old Maria Christina Ramirez had last been seen at 5:45 a.m. Monday when they ran away from their foster home in the 5000 block of Elizabeth Street, said Deputy Wally Bracks of the Sheriffs Information Bureau.
Jasmin and Samantha were found Tuesday in Long Beach by police, authorities said.
Maria, who may have been headed to El Monte where her mother resides, is still missing.
Maria is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 144 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
