I am very curious on if he knew her or if it was a crime of opportunity.

It is very disturbing that a child can go missing from school and be found murdered behind it.
 
He appears to be in a relationship. The woman has a picture of him on her fb wearing red shorts with what looks like tattoos on his left leg.

Like WS member Foxfire always says- an aware and informed public is an asset to LE. Silence by LE leads to cases going cold. So glad to see the community looked at the video and called in tips!
 
A suspect in the killing of a Red Bluff teenager turned himself into police today and was placed under arrest.

"The (surveillance) video from the high school played a crucial role," Nanfito said. "He (Bealer) was convinced to come in by an acquaintance," the chief said.

Earlier tonight, Red Bluff police collected evidence from two homes -- one in Red Bluff and the other in Gerber, Nanfito said.

Red Bluff police say Marysa was murdered, though they haven't revealed how she was killed, or how long she had been dead.

he was arrested jan 30 and had outstanding charges of 2nd degree burglary, failure to appear, receiving known stolen property PLUS
misd of 5 charges of failure appear, 3 paraphernalia, 2 driving susp license, parole violation, obstruction, possession, vandalism, battery
been in and out of justice system since 1991

warrants were served on the 1400 block of second st in red bluff and another on central avenue in gerber..both cities listed in prior arrest

still nothing from the autopsy was released...nanfito said the investigation is only 50 percent completed

interesting. On the RIP Mayrsa FB page, under the post about Bealer's arrest, a very pretty young woman with initials V V posted that her mom used to date the suspect and he tried to get V V's mom to see him the night of the murder.

So this brute murders a 14 year old girl. Did he rape her? Why????
 
IDK, his record is peppered with drugs, traffic, DV, etc. but I can find no record of him being a pedo or a molester. So if rape was a motive he has no criminal history of it.

Of course that means nothing he may just have never been caught for that.

Heartbreaking for his daughter though, if the FB chatter can be believed (V V comments) he has a teen daughter. :(
 
So Marysa arrived at the school parking lot AFTER he did? I don't get it. Why was he there? Was he trolling? Did he see her and recognize her?
 
questions I have right now post arrest

I want to know time of death. With the suspect's residence in close proximity to school it makes me wonder if the reason her body was not found during the first three searches of the creek area was because it wasn't there yet.

I also want to know if she was raped. Trying to wrap my head around motive here.

Lastly I want to know if he had a child attending Marysa' school and if so did Marysa know the child.

It still seems unusual to me that the area she was found was searched so many times over the course of several days, by different LEOs and she wasn't found til she was.
