SANTA ANA, Calif. (KGTV) - A Newport Beach surgeon and reality star is accused of working with a woman to drug and sexually assault women, the Orange County District Attorney’s office reported Tuesday in an effort to find up to 1,000 potential victims.

SANTA ANA, Calif. (KGTV) - A Newport Beach surgeon and reality star is accused of working with a woman to drug and sexually assault women, the Orange County District Attorney’s office reported Tuesday in an effort to find up to 1,000 potential victims.

They would get women drunk, drug them, then sexually attack them. They're also believed to have preyed on women at festivals like Burning Man, Dirty Bird Campout in Silverado, NV, etc.

Fortunately, a couple of the women regained consciousness, escaped and reported them to police. Evidence was found in photos on the doctor and assistant's cell phones.

Robicheaux appeared on the Bravo television show “Online Dating Rituals of the American Male”. A description of his episode read, “Grant, a 33-year-old orthopedic surgeon, has a plan: to find the perfect woman, have a fantasy wedding and raise the All-American family. With guidance from his roommate, Grant turns to online dating to find the woman of his dreams.”

For the woman of his dreams he'd be the man of her nightmares.

JMO, the guy was a doctor, was on reality TV, etc. He probably said the women were making it up. LE probably had to spend some time investigating the women's claims, interviewing others, getting a search warrant, etc. Isn't Orange County kind of conservative? Their LE may have initially thought the doctor's story was true, as opposed to a woman who the doctor met in a bar and got drunk. At least they did pursue it, though. Could have gone the other way.

According to the district attorney’s office, Robicheaux graduated from Louisiana State University medical school in 2007. Robicheaux also completed his undergraduate degree in biological sciences at LSU. He then completed his residency at the University of California, Irvine, and spent a year as a fellow at the New York University Hospital for Joint Disease. He was licensed by the California state medical board in 2009, the district attorney’s office says.

According to public records, Riley worked as a substitute teacher at Fullerton Elementary in 2014 and 2015. As of October 2017, Riley was studying education at California State University, Fullerton.

And, even though the press release lists an arrest for possessing controlled substances in January of 2018, he still has an active license with no restrictions!!!

From this article, it sounds like they became a couple, in 2015, while she was still married.

From the Heavy article, she was married in 2011 and did not get divorced until 2017.


They would have had to have gone out to the bars, almost every single night, in order to meet up to 1,000 women.

It also means that they would have met most of the estimated 1,000 women, after the first incident, was reported in April 2016.

He must have been out in bars all the time and must have been pretty obvious in the Newport Beach /OC area if he was working regularly.

Surely some people working in the bars must have noticed this going on.

And how on earth do you keep 1000 videos on your phone? I mean, its staggering. They both need to go to prison for LIFE without parole if convicted.

It is mind boggling. There should have been some servers in the bars that would have noticed this. Also, some of the women must have either gone to the bars with a friend(s) or met up with friends there. There must have been concerned friends who noticed what was happening to some of these women.

Thanks for this info. I kind of wondered if there was a Louisiana connection to the doctor. Robicheaux/Robichaux is definitely a common last name in Louisiana. There are a few orthopedic docs in the Baton Rouge area with same last name and I believe they are related to each other, but wondering if Grant is related?

If their victims numbered near 1,000 as reported, I suspect Robicheaux and Riley are well known in certain circles. No doubt many will be sharing experiences.
