I was just thinking. This was in the 60s. Could she have just gotten married in another state or in Mexico and was never missing? Or just moved in and become a common law wife? If she didn't work she wouldn't have to supply a social security number. Also, she could have simply changed her identity. It was easy enough back then.
If anyone has her Nash's VIN, it can be tracked. People are tracking down individual cars from the 60s and 70s to try to buy back their childhood! Through the VIN, they would be able to tell when and where it has been registered in the US or if it has been junked.

Very true. Vin numbers came out in 1954 but it wasn't required legally until 1969.
