This is just strange. Saturday I went back over the ridge I covered the previous Saturday to look for more connecting trails and go a bit farther up the canyon. I passed by the rock where I found the 3 bones and found this:
    upload_2019-8-5_21-41-53.jpeg

There are 4 bones now. Somebody added a small bone to the collection. Understand that this is not an easy place to get, requiring walking up a steep wash from the Oasis, down the other side to another wash then up that wash to the ridge and then well down slope to the rock. It kind of freaked me out. I took a picture and forwarded it to the Park LEO and he informed me that his specialist identified it as a deer toe bone. I looked online and thought it that it looked enough like a human finger bone for me to tell someone. So odd.
I’m going to take a couple of weeks off and take care of some items on the home front but I’ll upload some more videos if I can unscrew my YouTube account. Good sleuthing.

Are the other 3 bones also from a deer? Have they been placed like this, all lined up parallel to each other, by you for size comparison perhaps? No way they ended up like that randomly.

‘Tis a bit freaky, you’re right. Just a strange location too.
    Please take care.

I placed the 3 bones on the rock. The 4th one was put there last week.

You left them laying there like that correct? I guess a hiker found the other bone elsewhere and added to your collection as he/she thought what you left there was also weird/interesring. Just a thought. Certainly curious, though.

Oh dear. Guess we will wait for ID.
Between this, Barbara Thomas, and the articles I have read researching JTNP and the Mojave, I'm not going there anytime soon!

This is certainly close enough to where Paul went missing to be of interest. IMO

Well I think his wife mentioned this possibility quite some time ago. Why on earth would Paul be a homicide target? Average Joe from a city that is less than 5% the size of Toronto, and a guy out taking pictures of sheep. Perhaps there is more to Paul than we see on the surface, but seems so unlikely!

From the article: "Investigators were notified about 8:50 a.m. that a body was in a dry lake bed near Sunway Road and Rosehedge Avenue, according to the sheriff's department. The area is about three miles north of Highway 62."

Is this even near the place where Paul went missing?

Would depend how complete the burn process was, and sex can be determined by differences in pelvic bones between male/female.
