The Los Angeles Times reported the alleged female getaway driver of Holder has turned herself in. Her name was not yet released. She told TMZ she didn’t know that Holder had been involved in the shooting when she picked him up.

The unidentified woman told the gossip website, “she was with him Sunday when they drove to Nipsey’s clothing store near the Crenshaw District of L.A. She claims she was waiting for him in the alley when he went over to the clothing store. She also claims she didn’t know why he was going there and he didn’t say anything when he came back to the car.”

People on social media identified the suspect earlier April 1 as a man who goes by the street names “ Cuz,” and “Fly Mac,” and photos of Eric Holder, a wannabe rapper, match the man known by those nicknames, including his neck tattoo. You can see photos and videos from his Instagram and Facebook pages throughout this article, but be forewarned that the language in some of them is graphic and disturbing. In 2018, a blog called him “up and coming West-Coast underground Hip Hop artist Fly Mac.”

Police sources told the New York Daily News that the suspect was someone Nipsey Hussle knew. While the shooting could be classified as gang-related because of the rapper’s previous connection to a notorious Los Angeles gang, sources told the Daily News that the motive is believed to have stemmed from a personal “deal gone wrong,” rather than a rival gang member taking a shot at Hussle.

“Nipsey Hussle is a shining example of the best of what we can be,” said Marqueece Harris-Dawson, a council member, at a press conference. He described his story as redemptive. “At some point in his life, he made the decision he was going to be part of the solution.”

Nipsey Hussle Shook Hands With Killer Before Death

Nipsey Hussle shook hands with his alleged killer — who had “envy and hate in his eyes” — just moments before he was gunned down, according to a witness.

Herman Douglas, who described himself as Hussle’s business partner, claims he was one of the last people to see the rapper alive outside his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles.

“Me and Nipsey was talking, and the dude that shot him (Eric Holder), he came and shook our hands. Said he was a rapper and this old bulls-t,” Douglas told the Los Angeles Times. “Shook our hands, the dude went and got his burger. He left.”

Douglas said he went back inside the clothing store with his own food — and that’s when Holder returned with a gun.

Nipsey Hussle's brother Samiel Asghedom on rapper's legacy: "He was a role model to the community"

ipsey Hussle’s brother, Samiel Asghedom, spoke on the many ways the California rapper and philanthropist will be remembered following his heartbreaking death during an interview with ABC News Thursday.

“He was a brother, a musician, an entrepreneur, a people’s champ,” Asghedom said. “He was somebody that believed in the process of hard work, determination and just the positivity of somebody staying in the area that he grew up in and making something out of nothing…he was a role model to the community, to the kids, and to the mothers and grandmothers and the community that watched him grow up and seen him as a youngster, (and now) a family man, a father, raising his kids.”

Hussle, who was born Ermias Asghedom, was shot multiple times outside of his Los Angeles retail store, Marathon Clothing, which was located in the Crenshaw neighborhood where he grew up. The 33-year-old died at a local hospital shortly after the incident.

He was a prominent fixture in L.A.’s hip-hop community, gaining a strong fan base with his highly-successful mixtapes as an independent artist years before he joined Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. Hussle released his first official studio album, Victory Lap, which blew up Billboard charts and landed him his first Grammy nomination.

However, his music only accounted for a fraction of his success. He was also a notable community leader on a mission to rebuild the impoverished neighborhood from whence he came.

Much of the profits Hussle made from his music was used to invest in his hometown, purchasing properties and launching new businesses in his neighborhood. Just months before his death, Hussle announced plans to develop the strip mall where Marathon is located—which he owned—into housing for low-income families. He also launched a new co-working space and STEM center for underprivileged youth to learn more about entrepreneurship in the Crenshaw district.

Chris Darden was a prosecutor for the state. He was not a part of the "dream team".

While Nipsey may have done some good in his community, he did have his share of enemies and troubles over the years. This reminds me a lot of Biggie's execution. Here are just a handful of headlines to give a more rounded perspective:

This is NOT to bismirch him whatsoever - I think this kind of violence is a waste in both directions and it's an absolute shame he was shot in the back. I am happy to see positive outcomes like the gang peace rally. That community is really fighting a hard fight and has been for a long time.
