'A woman called Placer County Sheriff’s deputies on Nov. 25 to report an odor coming from an abandoned storage locker in the 100 block of Sherwood Court in Colfax. She had just purchased the contents of the storage unit at auction....'

Police soon discovered the body of one infant, quickly followed by another. They are not sure in the remains are of infants or fetuses at this time.

'Placer County Sheriff’s detectives are working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the bodies. Anyone with information about the abandoned storage unit is asked to call the detective at (530) 889-7894.

Anyone with information who wishes to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 is urged to contact Placer County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-923-8191. Or, report information online and anonymously at www.placercrimestoppers.com. All Crime Stoppers information remains confidential.'

There is a case in Winnipeg MB where a woman was charged after 6 infants remains were found in a storage locker. I honestly do not know why anyone would store their dead infants remains.

When my baby boy died (newborn and of natural causes) I could not bear the thought of him being in the ground. It haunted me. He was cremated, and that also haunts me to this day, being Catholic. But leaving him in a storage locker-no. I would have rather kept him at home somehow. I was irrational and, luckily, I had family to guide and support me
