[emoji17] The comments from her brother are so sad. I wonder if she confessed to murdering her son.

If she did not confess and stated Rick had killed the child, they brought the 2nd murder charge awfully fast.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Post #37. If the cousin was so fearful for the baby's safety and the mother having multiple guns in the home several weeks ago, why didn't she call CPS? It is all our jobs to bring these situations to the attention of officials. And if people who know the family don't tell CPS or LE, how will they know?

“They should have taken it seriously in the beginning,” she said. “That baby wasn’t safe there at all. Now he is dead.”

Note the comments from EW family member that they do not know who "Wallace" mentioned in the article is. Hence my comment up thread about MSM getting the facts right. Of course Wallace could very well be correct but I'll wait for more. MOO and FWIW :fence:

Thanks. It's going to take awhile to piece together what really happened. Glad her actual mother gave some info to the news. Wow, she's pregnant with his baby.

It's worth noting the comments on this article. The person making the comments is friends with EW (per her FB) and the "Wallace" person quoted in this article http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2015/jan/17/childs-body-found-freezer-barona-shooting/ is also friends. Can't go much further than this to stay within TOS but I'm most definitely on the fence on who the victims are here. It goes without saying that her little man Roland is a victim of the most heinous of crimes either way.

The San Diego Medical Examiner is scheduled to perform an autopsy on the child next week...

Video from Monggiotti's Facebook page showed the little boy, Roland, toying with a play phone and Monggiotti playing along with him...

Welch is being held without bail on two counts of murder. Monggiotti's funeral is scheduled for Friday.

RIP, little one! These cases are breaking my heart. I may need to step away from the computer for a little while :(. I am tired of seeing parents kill their babies.
 
ROLAND was such a bright-eyed, healthy, and beautiful 3 yr. old little boy. Watching that video of him makes me want to pound my head against the wall screaming...OMG, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? I have no idea who did this to him, and that he ended up in the freezer is like a nightmare to me.
 
Roland you were an unrecognized blessing. Rest in the Father's arms, be at peace :rose:

BBM, I just checked and it shows that Elaina is still scheduled for arraignment at 1:30 pm today. Hopefully we will have more info by this evening.
