This case absolutely cut me to the bone. I literally felt and saw the pain in his pictures.

His Mother died of a broken heart. HEARTBREAKING

*Pre-Preliminary Hearing for both (@ 8:30am PT) - CA – Roman Anthony Lopez (11) (last seen Saturday morning Jan. 11, 2020, found later in evening, Placerville) – death is being investigated as suspicious. *Lindsay Marie Piper (38/now 39) “stepmother” arrested (2/3/21), charged (2/4/21) & arraigned (2/9/21) with 1 count of willful cruelty to child possible injury/death & causing cruel & extreme pain for revenge & extortion of sadistic purpose, 1 count of torture & 1 count of willful poisoning/etc. food/etc. Plead not guilty. $1.3M bond.
Piper willfully & unlawfully mingled a poison & harmful substance with food, drink, medicine & pharmaceutical product & placed a poison & harmful substance in a spring, well, reservoir & public water supply.
*Jordon Thomas Piper (35/now 36) “father” arrested (2/3/21), charged (2/4/21) & arraigned (2/9/21) with 1 count of child abuse likely to cause injury or death & causing cruel & extreme pain for revenge, extortion or sadistic purpose, 1 count of torture & 1 count with willfully failing to provide food, shelter & medical attention to the child. Plead not guilty. $1.5M bond.
Justin Brousseau is the aunt of M, 8, C, 4, and L, 3, who has custody of the 3 children that were staying with the Pipers. They too were malnourished. Bio dad Justin alleges there's also proof of child abuse of his three children in addition to Roman. Roman’s bio mom passed away 4/4/21.

5/24/21 Update: Pre-preliminary hearing rescheduled to 6/14/21. 6/14/21 Update: Pre-preliminary hearing rescheduled to 7/12/21. 7/12/21 Update: The case was continued due to the fact that Jordan Piper got a new attorney that needed to get up to speed on the case. Jordan & Lindsey Piper will be back in court on Monday, Aug. 16.

Doesn’t look like anything happened today; they are scheduled to be in court on 9/10/21. I see there is also a separate “family law”-related hearing scheduled for Jordan Piper v. Lindsey Piper…just guessing that they are getting divorced (they have retained separate lawyers, according to the El Dorado Criminal Courts website: El Dorado Courts - Calendar

I searched for Piper and the attached screenshot shows some of the upcoming events related to Lindsay and Jordan/Jordon Piper (I don't know why, but both spellings appear in the court calendar and I'm pretty sure they refer to the same guy).

9 AM tomorrow (10/8) they will both have hearings, it looks like.
