I'm very glad that she was ID'ed so quickly too! That's been the only "good" thing about this case so far.
 
Thought I'd add, in case I peaked your curiosity, that I don't know what the police officer's wife saw on the surveillance video. I'm just hoping that LE gets some solid clues, and please camera footage, to go after whoever killed the young girl found in the suitcase.

According to Zimmerman, the wife of an SDPD officer “noticed something very specific and unique” about a surveillance photo of the suspect police had released to the media and told her husband about it.

“That was the one piece of information that helped us put that puzzle together that we were able to go out and arrest that suspect,” said Zimmerman, adding that community cooperation is crucial to cases like this.

Zimmerman said the tipster and her officer husband wanted to remain anonymous. The chief did not reveal specifics about what, exactly, was “unique” about the surveillance photo that led to Drake’s arrest.

He may have been someone new because on March 1 she said she didn't have a boyfriend. Maybe he was just someone more casual...or not. So sad.

I was just coming to post that. I saw the comment about the guy selling steaks door to door and her saying she lied about having a bf.

Joshua Matthew Palmer, 33, was arrested Friday afternoon after being interviewed by homicide detectives.

Palmer is being charged with one count of murder. He is due to be arraigned on Tuesday.

The body of 21-year-old Shauna Haynes of San Diego was found stuffed into a suitcase that turned up behind a Core-Columbia inn.

Guess they went downtown clubbing maybe often. I noticed they were at a downtown club on March 6th called the Fluxx Nightclub which is 500 4th Avenue. Anyone been there? Were they downtown when they argued? If so, where did the suitcase come from?

Makes me sick. How could he do this to her?!!

Doesn't it kind of look like they are in a motel room when she posts about clubbing? Suitcase? Could they have done this a week ago too?
