I have seen that map. With all due respect to the map maker, the pins on that map are obviously not exact locations. County Road 17 is not a specific location. Me and I think others here would like to know the exact location. Because that would help to know what direction the car was traveling when she was pushed out.

That exact info has not been released as far as I have seen.

What if the children are teenage girls?
Something that I have been researching in trying to make sense of this case. I can see where someone might abduct her for a period of time then release her to send message.
It is what I have found and could explain several questions that have gone unanswered so far.
THIS IS ONLY A THEORY backed by MSM sources and a logged police report*
I know 2 women mentioned SP ties to Humboldt and Eureka could be something other than marjuana?

What if she had another reason to be in the Emerald Triangle?
Say, being an advocate and helping young women obtain access to health care or birth control?

Could this really have been her?

A medical center?

[emoji615]Curiously during the time Sherri was missing this happened.

All JUST MY OPINION
MINE AND MINE ALONE
NO BASHING OF SHERRI AS I AM* A NURSE AND I HELP PEOPLE TOO.

From the Shasta County police logs you linked, page 16 has a report of Burglary of a mailbox on Oregon Trail rd/Jill st?? Says mail was taken and looks to have been prior to SP going missing. Are these the same cluster mailboxes? I would think stealing mail could be important if it turned out to be SP/KP mail. Could indicate she was targeted. Am I totally off base?

Do we have any info as to whether those two women were still in prison when SP was abducted? They sure do fit the description (and they abducted/trafficked MEN) but they were arrested in Sept. Seems unlikely they would get out unless they bonded out and continued other illegal activities, including scooping up SP on Nov 2.

Looks like one was for sure.

She was released somewhere on rural county road 17 east of I5. In looking at a map of the area, it makes no sense to me (IMO) that those that released her would continue heading east on co rd 17 into the town of Yolo. There are too many turns to make at 4:30 in the morning to get out of that town and head east as an escape route. They may have headed east, did a u turn, released her and headed back to I5 for a north/south escape. Or, in looking at the map, continued west on co rd 17 to I505. That is also a major north/south route that connects to I5 north, or I80 to the south.

None of that makes any sense. If she was dropped off on Road 17 east of I-5 she would have been in the town. The town of Yolo is on the east side of I-5. I seriously doubt she was dropped off in town, and then walked out of town to the Interstate.

The crime scene video I have seen, clearly showed LEOs searching the west side of I-5 near the southbound exit ramp. That also does not make sense for than to be processing evidence on the west side of the Interstate, if she was dropped off and located on the east side.

Here you go Case Map

There is actually only 3 towers in the near vicinity. There is a cluster of 3 towers supposed to be just across the road from the bottom right tower but after close inspection and a little research I think they are old. All I see is a big empty field and the towers are registered to a radio company that is listed at a different address now.

Hope that is what you wanted. If not let me know, I'll be around a while yet but am getting off the computer now.
Yes, thank you very much.

I can average 80 mph on I-5 in Oregon where the speed limit is just 65 mph. The only time I have to slow down is when I get blocked by a slow truck in the left lane. Even then the truck is usually doing 65 mph, unless it's going uphill on a mountain pass. Average 70 mph for 2.5 hours is doable, unless there is a bad accident or construction.

That's like it is from St. Louis to Denver, you get on I-70 and you can pretty much roll on. In KS, the Interstate speed limit is 75 mph iirc, and it's flat as a pancake. I have never driven on the interstate in CA though. Like I said though, if I had a kidnapped human in my vehicle, I'd set the cruise about 2 miles over the speed limit and be a very law abiding driver.

If you want to make it more general than any specific ethnicity, just stick to gender. You could look for cases that involved 2 women, over the age of 18 (or 21, if you prefer) who attacked or attempted to abduct or did abduct someone else. That shouldn't offend anyone unless you think women are being unfairly targeted because SP said it was 2 women who abducted her.

Not at any time during the show was a tip line given.

Don't let the lack of a tip line on a TV interview stop you. Sleuthers are able to sleuth out all kinds of things, including the Shasta County and Yolo County Sheriff's Depts.

Wrong area; that is probably 4 miles or so from the abduction area of Old Oregon Trail and Sunrise.

Have you seen the photos in this article? http://archive.redding.com/news/loc...bc-89f5-2df4-e053-0100007f092f-403070046.html

Maybe they can help? Or maybe they will further confuse the issue. IDK.

Lake,
Do you know what cell phone carrier the Papini's have?

Hmmm...What if the perps broke into their mailbox to steal some of their mail, then placed pieces of mail on the ground. SP could have seen the mail scattered, bent down and set her phone in the grass to pick up the mail and that is when the perps surprised her--pointed a gun to her head and told her to get into the car. Just an idea...

This doesn't seem like a similar crime jmo

The Central Valley of California is exactly the same. The Interstate is flat and straight as a pin, all the way to the horizon, with farms and orchards on both sides. There is not really that much speed enforcement out there. It's not uncommon to see CHP cars traveling 80 mph with the other traffic doing the same.

BBM: Not sure how to interpret the comment. Women is obviously a much larger demographic, and I'm choosing not to interpret this as sarcasm.

My question has more to do with WS's sanctioning sleuthing of all Hispanic women, whose names appear on logs or arrest reports. I was asking for clarification from the mods. The directive clearly says "meeting the perps' description given by SP are okay to sleuth."

So without photographs, women will be selected by surname, correct?

The 18 or 21 age requirement is meaningless, in my opinion. The description was one younger, one older. One could easily be a juvenile.

There are websites that will tell you that. One is called PhoneValidator, it will tell you if a number is a cell or land line and who the carrier is. Not putting the link in case it is against TOS but you can find it by searching.
Ty & Yes, I know...that was what I was suggesting, basically....I do not have the number, nor do I care to have it...I think my post was misunderstood

I wasn't suggesting it was a similar crime but that it was used as a distraction...anyway since Lake16 clarified that the mailboxes in the log are not the same mailboxes SP jogged to it doesn't matter. I deleted my post so no one gets confused. I still think the perps could have distracted SP with something to make her bend down and set her phone in the grass the way it was found. They also could have just pointed a gun and said "put your phone down" and she did that quickly and gently. IDK.

OT: Did the site go down for a few minutes for anyone else?

Thanks, but it doesn't really help. Read the caption.

Sherri Papini was found near the intersection of County Road 17 and Interstate 5 in Yolo County. This is County Road 17 looking east towards Interstate 5.

She was found at County Road 17 and Interstate 5. Well OK, we know that. Here is a picture of County Road 17 looking east towards I-5. So that is a picture somewhere way west of I-5 looking towards where she was found. It's impossible to even see the location she was found in that picture. So it's two totally different locations, and not even close together. None of the pictures on that page claim to be the location she was found.

My understanding is the sleuthing can only be done to those who meet the description and have been arrested for a similar/like crime.
I don't think sleuthing based off a police or msm report is allowed. There has to also have been an arrest.

That said, you're right about the name thing. Since it's arrests only though, I think a physical description and likely a photo would be available for any Hispanic women who were arrested for abducting/kidnapping a stranger from the side of the road.

Great point on the age thing! There's no reason to assume the younger of the two wasn't a minor.
