I often think of Stacey and her family. They worked so hard to find her. It really bothers me that arrests can’t be made more often in “no body” cases. It’s hard, but not impossible, to gather enough evidence for trial. But usually another “boyfriend” gets away with murder.

Stacey Smart has been missing from the small Trinity County town of Lewiston, California for over four years. Stacey was last seen on October 12, 2016, at the home the 51-year-old shared with her boyfriend, according to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office. The details of what happened in the days leading up to her disappearance remain unclear. Stacey is usually in contact with her family daily, but as Halloween approached and nobody had heard from her, family grew concerned. This remains an active case and police are working on all tips that have come in, but no leads have produced any substantial information. She is described as being 5’8” and 180 lbs. I cannot believe Stacy has not been found nor has there an arrests. SMH. I thought for sure, by now, there would be some movement.

"My Mom was spending a lot of time at the Lewiston Moose Lodge in Lewiston around the time of her disappearance, she last used her debit card at Lewiston Mini Mart and lived by pine cove marina near Lewiston Lake," said Nicole.
"The Trinity County Sheriffs Office did not have a Search and Rescue team at the time and when my family and I reached out to organizations for help everyone was too busy searching for Sherri.
