MISSING since 13 August 1992

White male, of “other” ethnicity. 5 feet 11, 170 pounds, strawberry blond hair, hazel eyes. He resided in Laytonville, CA. He was 40 years old when he was last seen.

ROGERS had been arrested by the Feds for trafficking narcotics. He was stressed by that. He sent letters to family and friends, threatening to commit suicide on the Mendocino coast. His vehicle was found parked at mile marker 71.59 on the Shoreline HIghway between Fort Bragg CA and Westport, CA. However, it is suspected by LE that he fled to avoid prosecution.

I think I heard about this case long ago. I initially thought he had taken off, but after all this time, I have to wonder whether he might have really committed suicide. It wouldn't be the first time someone succeeded in hiding for decades, though.
