OMG!!!

"The specific cause of the Lytton Creek wildfire remains under investigation by both the RCMP as well as our fire origin cause investigators," Berg said.

"It is suspected to be human-caused, but that specific cause remains to be determined."

The province said Thursday the loss includes "most homes" and structures in the village, as well as the local ambulance station and RCMP detachment. The local member of parliament said 90 per cent of the village is gone.

Wildfire that decimated B.C. town was likely human-caused, says official

Witnesses heard a train breaking and saw smoke and fire that quickly got out of control.

“…Austin said their son remarked to them that they could see a train braking and coming to a stop at the other end of town.

“I looked at it and right away, it was just ‘boom,’ there was tons of smoke coming from that end of town,” Austin told Global News….
…“I just thought about it immediately. It’s 46 degrees out and they’re putting the brakes on and it’s windy,” Austin added.”

Have a friend that just moved to Okanagan in the spring. They were happy to get away from the rainy coast. Then the heat came and fires popping every where. They are moving back to the coast.
